Luckily we aren't tall as sloping ceilings in attic rooms. Other rooms would be fine.

Breakfast was excellent with lots of choices.

One feedback to the lady owner, blanket cover and pillow cover were so rough like a towel. That gave us sleepless night and uncomfortable. This can be rectified easily. Please use normal blanket covers.

Room was big and very clean. Right in the center.

    Nothing. Everything is perfect!

We found Pension Haus Andreas through Rick Steves' travel book, and we had a memorable stay with Frau Pellny. She greeted us when we arrived and showed us the room and the breakfast area. The family room is exactly as shown in the photos and everything is very clean. It is a pension (B&B), so the space is a bit tight but we had no complains. The view from the window is beautiful and although the place is central, it is very quiet at night. Frau Pellny is an extremely nice and patient lady. She prepared breakfast for us every morning and the food were excellent and had varieties of choices. And the location... it is just too perfect! It takes only 2-3 minutes of walking distance to the central market and all the eateries, and 10 minutes of walking distance to the Cochem castle!!! One thing to remember is that the place takes cash only, so make sure you bring enough Euros to avoid wasting time finding an ATM and paying extra transaction fees. If you are planning to visit this charming small town and want to experience the local life, Pension Haus Andreas is the perfect place to stay!

Though the single room was comfortable, the toilet and bathroom are outside the room for which you need to step outside the room and walk a few steps across the other room. The toilet-bathroom however is only for the usage for the single room and comes with lock and key. The room description only says Private bathroom but does not specify if it is not in the same room as otherwise expected.

Centrally located with walking distance to the castle. The hostess is very kind and the breakfast was good!

There wasn't anything I didn't like. Maybe also have an anti slip mat in the shower.

The owner was a lovely lady who was very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the breakfasts which included local products. The room was nicely furnished and situated near the centre of the town and also in walking distance to the castle, boat trips, bus and train station.

the toilet was pretty narrow. this in itself is not a problem but since the toilet is narrow, it only fits a small wash basin and it is difficult to contain the spill water to the basin itself. after repeated usage, the spill water makes the floor really wet (the carpet on the floor becomes wet). strangely we didn’t find a trash can in the room! there is parking available beside the house but if you come by a large car, it is quite difficult to park the car in the narrow space. there maybe some confusion in the translation as well, as i understood from the property website that free parking was available for all guests but was charged anyway at check out. another thing about translation, as the english instructions to open the key box talked about a “door” and i misinterpreted it as the door into the property while what was meant was the lid of the key box. for most, this may be a non issue but if you are not used to key boxes, then maybe something to be aware of.

the person who runs the stay is very helpful and is extremely active. i couldn’t quite figure out how to get the keys out but she opened the main door for us and hung the key inside. it is close to the city center and also to the castle, the main attraction of this place. all amenities that you normally expect to find in a hotel room exists here.

The bathroom door lock was very difficult to work - I would say it needs replacing as I got locked inside and outside the bathroom at one time or another. The bedroom key was fine so I’m not quite sure why the bathroom one wasn’t similar.

I loved the location, the bedroom I was in had a lovely view and I appreciated the sink in my room too. The breakfast was amazing!

I would like to have more warm food options for breakfast, not just boiled eggs. Something like sosiges/omelette/smashed eggs would be great.

Great rooms in a great location, right next to one authentic wine cellar. Great staff. Excellent price/quality rate.

The room was charming and very comfortable, and it was in a great location very close to the main part of town (easy to walk to). Though there wasn't really a central lobby or reception area, the host was very helpful and accommodating. A lovely little guesthouse in Cochem!

The bed pillows were too flat for us. A challenge to reach by car through very narrow streets in a hilly pedestrian area.

Thought we were lucky to find an entire studio apartment and at the reception we were told our price included breakfasts., until we unlocked the door to our apartment, it's just a tiny ensuite with size about half to what it was advertised. We went to check if we were given a wrong room, the staff then now explained to us that the apartment from booking.com was actually not available that's why they gave us free breakfast. At this point we have no option but just accepted it. We couldn't have a good night sleep at all because it's not two single beds. There's no kettle to make hot drinks. Basically it's a 160cm bed frame with two 80cm single mattresses in it. It's nearly occupied the whole room and not much space for you to walk around the bed. The ensuite shower room is so tiny.

Location it's in the middle of the old town and close to Reichsburg castle. The cleanliness and service from the pension.
