I had to change my room after two days due to a split booking. I found the pricing policy odd: The first room was slightly cheaper, older, had a very large desk, a bathtub and view to the river. The second room was newer and smaller, had a smaller desk and a bathroom only with a shower, although luxurious, and view to the inner yard. The hotel complex is not architecturally charming in itself – built in the 1980s or 90s. But it is welcoming and bright. The lounges and breakfast restaurant has large windows and a garden feeling, there is also a terrace. The layout, however, is confusing. To access a part of the hotel, you must take the elevator up to the 2nd floor, then walk a long corridor and take another elevator down to the first floor. The spa ought to be open in the morning. Wifi didn't work well in all areas. There was no printer to use for guests, although the reception offered to print a small number of copies for free or larger amounts for a fee.

The place is a professional business hotel – apparently often used for conferences, but also very nice for the individual tourist. The spa on the top floor is very nice, although only open for a limited number of hours every afternoon/evening. There is a "pillow menu" – you can order a range of different pillows. I asked for a down comforter (Daunendecke), and the receptionist went down the cellar to find it for me! The breakfast is impressively large and good value for the price. They provided gluten-free bread rolls for me. Although Pforzheim doesn't have many historic buildings, you can walk along the river to the very centre in five minutes. The city library is also very close.

The style of the room is old school however, the facilities of the hotel are really new, this is quite special. Additionally, the location of the hotel is really good and it is perfect for someone who drives the car.

Everything regarding the room was good: the bed, the bathroom, tv etc. I slept very well in the bed. The hotel has its own parking; very convenient; costs 12 euro per night, which I find acceptable for safe parking. The hotel was easy to reach from highway. The location is next to the river and only a few minutes walk to the centre were there are several restaurants. The breakfast was very good; lots of choice and eggs / omelets baked at request.

Location just of A8 we were using it for a stopover on the way to Austria. Lots of staff, all very efficient and friendly. We had a dog and there were very accommodating.

I asked to habe an early check in (1-2 hours would habe been more than enough), the receptionist said I should pay half of the price for one night…. A little flexibility would be mich appreciated considering that the Hotel has such a late check in and not at all full booked….

Maybe the parking could have been wider, but that is the standard of most European countries. Old towns, small parking spaces/ways.

The room had a great view, it was very comfy and there was a separate room from the bedroom, which was great. The baby crib was the best we ever had.
