The only thing that needs improvement is the variety of food as the breakfast and dinner menu is limited, but the whole experience was perfect

The location of this hotel is so amazing in the middle of the nature. The surrounding environment is breathtaking. The has a small robot in the restaurant. The staff were very friendly, helpful and polite they supported us all the time. It was a very beautiful experience I didn’t want to leave this place. The cleanliness level is really good. The quietness there is unbelievable in the middle of nature the best sleep I had in years. The whole area is like a fairy tale experience.

in the wardrobe there was an unpleasant smell from a bag with bath accessories for the sauna and pool... there was practically no mobile connection in the hotel room (Vodafone), but this is not a minus of the hotel, rather a problem with the mobile operator.

beautiful location, large windows in the restaurant overlooking the forest, friendly staff, cleanliness of the room, comfortable mattress and pillows, a kettle in the room and a bottle of water in the refrigerator were a nice bonus :) good internet and parking. food was good and various.

The swimming pool is outside, and the water is not warmed up and very cold.

Lower the lighting in dining room, and perhaps at table service rather than buffet meal.

Wonderful location on edge of forest trail, in a small picturesque town with castle. Hohnstein is well connected by bus services to Bastei and Bad Schandau which means you can do a lot on a short break. Rooms are very good, half board a good option, and sauna/swimming pool spotlessly clean. Some nice touches like free cake in afternoon and welcome drink on arrival.

It was a hot day, but on the bed there were only eiderdowns, which were rather hot. I would have preferred just a sheet. But that's a very minor complaint... the only thing I could think of

The formula with dinner included suited our needs, since we were just passing through. Dinner was nice. The room was very comfortable with a nice renovated bathroom.

The staff was extremely helpful and kind. when we came from a hike, totally wet and frozen, they brought us a soup to our room even though the kitchen was still closed. the spa area was absolutely awesome

This was an hotel of high standing that had a very good deal with both breakfast and evening meal included. We found the choice at breakfast to be superb and were especially pleased to find vegan options. Every aspect of the hotel to the welcome drink and the helpful staff to the quality of the room was great.

The saunas and pool were wonderful after a long day walking on the Malerweg trail! The room was spacious and comfortable. It was nice having a kettle and tea in the room.

I missed a outside area where I could sit down and enjoy a pre-dinner drink. They had sitting outside around a fountain but nowhere you put your drink. Wasn’t able to put drinks on a room tab. Bit strange as they have this system where you can order your drinks online.

The atmosphere was really nice is this hotel. Smallish single room but comfortable bed and nice modern bathroom. Evening meal and breakfast excellent. Lovely outside area for wating dinner. Peaceful location and ideal for hiking.

The location is not Bad Shangai as advertised and quite far from there in the outskirts of a village uphill. The building is very DDR, ugly and sad, the swimming pool ridiculous. The dinner buffet was awful and when in the morning I wanted to pay the small beer that was not included in the price nobody was at the reception till late and the only staff present at breakfast had no change so that I left more money in order to leave. Breakfast is scarse too.

The place is quiet.
