Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomManager was extremely rude upon arrival not letting us drink water while we waited in the lobby for our room to be ready, she said we could only have things bought from the hotel but we were buying things from the hotel (multiple beers)…the water bottle was for my sister who wasn’t feeling well and she still proceeded to shout at her.
Reception and bar staff were so lovely and very accommodating, room was comfortable and good price for the area. Thanks :)

GermanyThe room has not been used in some time or they do not vacuum clean well. I am allergic to dust and the moment i went into the room i started having alergies and needed to take anti histamine for my whole stay. Also the room has a smell but was quickly gone just by opening the window.

GermanyWe found the AC to be weak. We had it set at 18c, but that felt like it wasn't working, so we bumped it down to 15c. This had a normal room temperature, which we could live with. Perhaps the filter needs changing?
The location was perfect for us. It's a 5 minute walk to the U6-U2 stop Stadtmitte, and the Checkpoint Charlie site is also only 5 minutes walk around the corner. There were also some nice restaurants and general gathering places nearby. The facilities were great for us. We had plenty of room to unpack and relax in the room for a few days. The shower has good pressure and temperature, and you can listen to the TV in the bathroom through overhead speakers. The staff were helpful and friendly. We called to get an additional pillow and bathrobes, which they brought straight to the room within 30 minutes. We were very happy with our stay and would happily stay again.

RomaniaBed mattress could have been more contemporary - it was the classic innerspring mattress, no foam on top or anything. You could feel the innersprings in some parts of the bed. Pillows were also pretty run down. Sleeping was OK, but in 4-stars hotels I usually expect great beds and pillows.
The breakfast was good. We loved the very green and quiet interior garden; we spent most our evenings having a beer here before going to our room.

FinlandDidn't have breakfast because 24 euros for it felt quite steep. However was no trouble because we had kitchenette and fridge. Also lots of cheaper breakfast options around.
Location is excellent, can walk to most sights. Our room was big and comfortable with huge rooftop terrace to enjoy coffee or breakfast. Definitely Would stay here again.
