Beds and pillows could have been better (fairly firm). Bathroom and shower are pretty tiny.

The room was comfortable but quite small and certainly not worth the huge price paid !!! I have stayed in some top class hotels with far more facilities, ie Spa, sauna, swimming pool etc and paid far less than i did at the Mercure. Obviously, like everyone else staying there, i was being taken advantage of due to the Oktoberfest taking place and prices probably being increased because of this ? It is a shame but this is the case everywhere in the world and not just at the Mercure ! This apart, my room was comfortable, the breakfast had ample choice and the staff were very friendly, polite and helpful.

The location was great, only a hundred yards from the Marienplatz and central for everything, not only the attractions but for the S-Bahn too.

One small issue: the bathroom fan was annoying bc could not be turned off—it has its own timer, so I would just remove the key card and pop it back in after a couple of minutes.

Great location; also the unlimited free drinking water was a pleasant surprise and nice plus.

The beds were a little hard, and the quality of the pillows/bedding was on the lower side. Our room was also right on the main street, so it was a bit noisy at night. But all of that is understandable given the room rate and the location, which we were happy to overlook.

The location was right near Marienplatz and easily walkable to the big attractions. The breakfast and the staff are the true highlights of this property - we were pleasantly surprised, and would come back again!

We had a room on 6th floor with dormers that made some spaces in room useless. We bumped our heads a few times.

The parking was a problem. The hotel didn’t direct us to its parking which is a lot cheaper. There was no shower but one had to climb the bath tab.

I felt like we got tricked into thinking breakfast was included and it wasn’t and it was $47 Euro each day!!!!!!! And we were just dainty eaters. I didn’t know until the bill came!! Our train tickets to our next two locations were less than one breakfast.

I liked everything.

The location is excellent, right in the centre of the Altstadt, everywhere is within easy walking distance. Hotel is a good 3-star hotel. The breakfast is excellent. A plus is the coffee machine in the breakfast room, guests may go into the breakfast room at any time to use the machine. There are complimentary drinks in the fridge in the room. The staff are friendly and helpful. I have stayed at this hotel several times and am always completely satisfied.

A fitness facility would make the hotel ideal, but this is a small hotel so that may not be a practical use of space.

+ Staff, friendly and efficient + breakfast was excellent with a wide selection of foods and attentive staff + location was excellent and very convenient to public transportation and attractions.

The beds (2x single) are small and hard - woke up with a sore back every morning The breakfast is free, but included as a cost item on the invoice - so not free really, more ‘compulsory’ The hotel is overpriced for what it is (= very basic) - although I suppose that’s because of the central location The bath products were in big bottles secured to the wall several feet up. Fine for showers, absolutely hopeless for baths One pair of slippers between two people, and wooden floors Small room, nowhere to place open cases comfortably

The location is exceptional. 5 minutes walk from Marienplatz, 5 minutes walk from Karlplatz, in the middle of the center. The breakfast is by far the best I have ever experienced in a 3 stars hotel. It competes and is better than 4 stars. The staff are very kind and extremely helpful.
