Cooling was an issue, the hotel had been having problems on our floor but instead of telling us about it, we had to ask them on the third day at which point they had already fixed the issue and helped us work it out too - still it was disappointing to have to ask for a resolution when there was clearly a problem that could have been communicated and soulitionised prior by the hotel. The location was out of the way with a 15min walk to either train or tram and not much around the immediate area, I'd say not a great base for visiting Cologne, unless you need to be out that way for an event or similar. It wasn't as friendly and welcoming as other Meininger's I have stayed in.

Facilities were great. Kitchen excellent, and washing/drying machine helpful. Rooms were a good size, clean and quiet.

No complaints. It was exactly as advertised and exceeded my expectations.

Located in the "Technologie Park", a 10 minute walk from the 1 tram and 15 minute walk to the S-bahn. Rooms were very clean and had room service daily. Facilities were very good. The bar/cafe was great and it was easy to meet other travelers. There is a well-stocked shared kitchen and vending machines. The staff were exceptional. I stayed in a 4er dorm, which was a great value for the price. My roommates were all very courteous, kind, quiet, and respectful. Bring earplugs or get them from the vending machine in case.

The only toilets outside the rooms are a floor down from the bar and kitchen which was a bit annoying.

The rooms felt like they were redone to hostel from a normal double room (I guess that's what probably happened). Even when all was OK in my case, the room felt weirdly small for four people, mainly because there was only one shower connected with toilet.

Everything super clean, stuff very friendly, nice bar open till late for those who do not want to go to sleep early :)

Lockers in the dorms were a bit small, but Ok. A bigger bar would be more appropriate form my taste.

Cafe expensive, cappuccino very small cup for 3.80 Breakfast was good, except white bread rolls were not tasty. Room was a bit hot so used air-conditioning which was noisy. , so had to turn it off.

Great to have a shared kitchen to make tea, coffee and cook. Even a fridge to keep food. Hotel very near sports college Breakfast good selection Air-conditioned large triple room. Great bathroom and comfy beds.

I was trying to buy another stay and breakfast, but the night staff made me not feeling good, little aggressive, unfriendly and they threw what I cooked into the trash bin. Next morning I ordered coffee and some bread, the bar guy he said the bread are free for customers that waiting. He charged me a big amount, more than the coffee costs and served me a tiny cup to show the woman next table how little I ordered but we both knowing us already from the dorm and we both on move and not on looking clothes, I told her I just recovered from a cold and can't, she felt unsafe from the guy in the dorm that were playing safer and were following her, I reported that but the night staff did no actions so I had to take care and became so done!

Elevator, lights, check-in was doing a good job, very professional stereo executive check-in!

Easy to get from the center, the hotel is nice and clean. The staff is very helpful and friendly. A good bonus is a small bar which is open in the evening.

A bit weird sleeping in a single bed in a dorm room. Location is in industrial area, not walking distance to town but close enough to train station.

Rooms were clean and comfortable. Good that there was separate bathroom and toilet in dorm room. Kitchen was good and staff friendly.

Many school classes and youth groups not behaving inappropriately for a city hotel. A desk in the room would be helpful to get some work done.

Simple hostel like hotel with extremely cool and friendly staff, especially at the bar. I was attending an event in RheinEnergie Stadion which is not far.
