Don’t feel welcome by the staff (middle aged gentleman). We wanted to try some special Dusseldorf drinks at the bar but he said he didn’t have. We listened to three vinyl CDs in our room and wanted to exchange to the new ones but he said they’re the same in every room.

Staff weren't the most helpful. For whatever reason we couldn't add extras (drink, snacks etc) to our hotel room - suspect this was because the staff couldn't really be bothered. Also - smoking seems to be permitted outside the front door which makes the relaxing lounge area smoke inside.

Rooms were characterful and really were much more comfortable than other similar priced hotels. Love the record players in the rooms and the basketball net! Lovely quirky décor throughout. A nice feel and great theming.

The walls are extremely thin!!! I could even hear someone having a normal phone call from the next room plus other intimate noises that made me wake up from a deep sleep, imagine how loud they were!!! That was a not nice experience.

The design of the hotel was nice, but the hotel itself is very old. The beds were very comfortable, breakfast was okey, the location was great, staff was friendly and helpful.

Decorative pillows and stuff on the bed. Since there isn't much space to put them other then the floor many people put them on the floor and they seem dirty in my mind even if they aren't. I don't think they are necessary.

The place is clean and even though thw rooms are small they made the best out of it. The style is very welcoming and there are vinyl players with sample vinyls in every room that is a fun little extra.

For a large room it was what I would say “normal” however that said I’m guessing the small rooms are tiny so I’m glad we paid the upgrade to large. toilet a tight squeeze where situated and toilet door very scabby looking at the bottom. Sugar provided however no coffee and only 1 teabag. Rooms not very sound proof

The lobby is very beautiful. We ended up spending the evenings having tea and a lovely chat at the lobby rather than looking for a cafe. The location is very close to everything. Walking distance from everywhere we wanted to go, very close to amazing restaurants. The room was comfortable, the bathroom small but practical and everything was very clean. Staff was kind and sincere. I liked that.

In fact this is an old hotel building with a light touch redesign to the rooms. Soundproofing of windows, doors and walls is inadequate. Room design is quirky but not necessarily practical or well executed (e.g. bedside tables half a meter from the bed, lighting could be better, wallpaper peeling off, bathroom door damaged, etc.). There are some fun elements, like the record player.

My only bad remark is about the elevator- it got stuck for several minutes as I was inside… there’s an emergency button and it started to work again. I soon after however, used the beautiful staircase- which is also good for the health 😀

I don’t know why the hotel wasn’t rated better; it is absolutely cosy, retro style, warm lighting, nice small bar (good whiskey choice), a snooker table in the lobby available until 11 pm. Big room about 20 square meters with very high and comfortable bed and retro style shower.

There were a handful of facilities in the hotel. When we arrived, there were quite less toilet paper left ; I guess they forgot to put back up ones. The room was small but worth its money.

It was very close to train station. The staff was very helpful. The room was quite warm.
