Street outside albeit small is quite noisy from early on.

You can self check-in if arriving late. Passable for one night stay if you are on a budget. Carpets in common areas have seen better days, but room was decent in terms of cleanliness. Breakfast lacks Michelin star, but whatever.

The furniture was not perfect, but I had two beds. I chose the best one. The doors weren't tight, I heard every step outside. The Socets were horrible.

It was a little bit dated - would have liked a lockable safe for valuables in the bedroom eg for laptop, personal material etc. Some basic things in the room, like a bottle of water and glass would be good.

The location is fantastic- 10 minutes from Essen’s train station, close to many cultural attractions (Philharmonie, theatres, parks, museums etc) and 10 minutes walk from Rüttenscheider Straße with its many bars, restaurants, cafes and chic shops. The room was easy to book, and here no one bothers you!

Had no hot water for taking a shower in both days of my stay in the morning till the afternoon.

The staffs were so friendly, especially Miss Kermanshahi was an absolutely honourable lady, very supportive and prepared perfect breakfast, the breakfast was excellent. The Location is great, it's very close to city centre.

In the bathroom there was only a bath tub, without a curtain, so it was difficult to take a quick shower. The power sockets weren't cover correctly.

The staff has been really kind with us, allowing to leave there the luggages for the whole day after our checkout. The room was very large, comfortable and clean.

Many stuff in the bathroom look old, although all things were perfectly functional. No Aircon when a hot day, we didn't ask for a fan since there was a summer Storm and at night it was cool.

I arrived at the hotel around 3 p.m. There was no receptionist available. I waited for some time but nobody showed up. I saw the reception forms on the desks. I took it myself and filled one. During all this 10 to 15 minutes time, no body showed up. I knocked on the door behind the receptionist, but again no answer. I heard two people talking upstairs. I went up and saw that there were cleaners. I asked for the receptionist. One of them came to receptionist's desk and made a call to the receptionist. She guided the cleaner to give me the keys to a room. They asked for the money in advance and without giving any receipt or invoice. The other point that the rooms are not equipped with the standard items that the hotel usually provide, like slippers, a box of tissue, toothbrush, toothpaste, ...

It was more like a hostel rather than a hotel or we can say it was a 2-star or 3-star hotel. You should not expect the services that you usually are getting in 4 or 5-star hotels. The breakfast was simple but fair and sufficient.

Parking is a little bit complicated.

Beware of parking charge of 10 euro per night.... Concerned there was no shades on the wall lamps exposing live cables with this being above the bed.... Shower temeperature very tempermental but adequate for me... The mrs did not particulary like.

The room was too small. The receptionists had nothing to do and made us feel observed all the time. There were a lot of stairs. The room key was heavy.

The hotel was clean, and every day new towels and shampoos were provided.

Hotel with no staff. Staff only from 5 pm for short time. My single room very small. TV was not working I did not want to bother the hotel, because anyway there was no staff. Organisational and safety problems in connection with the concept of hotel without staff. At midnight , main door of hotel was still open. A person tried twice to enter my room (reported to hotel).

Top location between the lively Ruettenscheid area and railway station. Quiet street. Cozy and moderm room. Reasonable price.
