Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

PortugalThe staff at the check-in wasn't too friendly, the lady at the checkout was very friendly though:) I had a huge suitcase and had to walk up the stairs to the elevator and on my floor. That was horrible. At the ground floor apparently there was a way to avoid the stairs but the staff didn't inform me about it ... on the 6th floor there was no way to avoid the stairs. Also a small, but annoying detail - there was just 1 hook for the towel in the bathroom. you have to hang your towel, your partner's towel and a hand towel. Eeeeh. I know it's a small thing, but still a bit annoying :) I have shared the feedback at the checkout and the lady noted everything very precisely and later I have received an email with a voucher for the future stay. that was a thoughtful gesture and I appreciated that my every comment was taken into consideration.
The room was clean, location was perfect (for us!), because our family lives in Berlin 10 min away by foot. We haven't tried breakfast, seemed a bit overpriced..

United StatesRoom was very small. Pictures are definitely 'showing up' what you get. Lower your expectations. Location is average. Unless you get a really cheap rate, there are much better hotels in the area to choose from.
This hotel is good for a one or two night stay as a 'stopover' location. Hotel was clean. Breakfast was average. All of the basics are covered. That is about all I can say. No perks of any kind.

United StatesThe room was quite small, with little room to place luggage. The bathroom was very cramped (I kept hitting walls when I turned around) and the sink was super tiny, which made washing your face a bit of a mess. The hotel is very dark - going for modern vibes, but not my aesthetic; personally, brightening it up a bit would be much more welcoming.
The style is very modern and the bed was comfortable.
