Our Hotel staff, Christof and his wife, were the most helpful and friendly people we encountered in Germany. They went out of their way to help us confused Americans. Great people, great food, great rooms, and excellent location. We love you Christof

Located in the peaceful and beautiful Schönau, this is the perfect place to stay if you want to visit the lake and surroundings. The staff is super nice and helpful, the room was very clean, breakfast was good too. Kristof and his wife are doing a great job to make everything flawless, keep it up!

We spent two nights at the landhaus sonnenstern. We received a very warm welcome and were also given direct recommendations for restaurants and hiking trails. The rooms are superbly equipped and leave nothing to be desired. Everything was also very clean. We didn't miss anything at the breakfast buffet and there is even a small wellness area - also very clean - with a sauna, which we enjoyed using. We felt very comfortable and would come back any time! :)

We arrived at the hotel and were welcomed by a charming host, who guided us around the facilities always with a smile on his face 😄 The room is big with built-in bathroom and minibar with local beers 🍻 The bed is super comfy so we had a good night sleep after a long day hiking. We also enjoyed the sauna and generous breakfast. Well, we have nothing to complain 😁

We had an amazing time. The property stays at walkable distance from the Königssee, has good restaurants nearby, a great breakfast and a wonderful staff, who oriented us in the best hikes to try even during winter.

Very nice and cozy environment! The host is nice and warm, gave us many suggestions for the sightseeing spot. Have a nice common room with very heartwarming and Christmassy decorations. The breakfast is very nice with many varieties. In general, very nice experience, strongly recommended.

My recent stay here was absolutely fantastic, starting with a little adventure. I got a bit lost after getting off at the wrong bus stop, leading to an unexpectedly long walk while carrying my luggage. However, this turned out to be a wonderful experience thanks to the beautiful scenery I encountered along the way. When I finally arrived, I was warmly welcomed by the hosts, who were incredibly kind and helpful. I also got to briefly meet their adorable cat. (It's a shame I was so busy during my stay and didn't get to see him/her again!) The room where I stayed was very clean and had everything I needed, adding to the comfort of my visit. It was well-equipped and maintained, making it a perfect retreat after a day of exploring. Breakfast each morning was a highlight. It was simply superb, served in a cozy room that showcased the hosts' care and attention to detail. It felt like a warm, inviting space that made the start of each day extra special. Getting around using public transportation was a bit of a learning curve, as the bus schedules are a bit limited. Thankfully, the hosts were fantastic in helping me plan and optimize my travels, making it much easier to navigate the area. My only regret is that my stay was too short. I’d absolutely love to come back and stay here again if I'm ever in the area. The combination of wonderful hosts and the charming setting made this a memorable and highly recommended place to stay!

The only small point would be that the addtion of coffee making facilities in the room would be great. Sometimes you just want to have a cup of tea ir coffee when you return to your room after a day out.

We loved this small hotel. The young couple who own it is very friendly and very helpful. They serve a lovely breakfast with eggs cooked fresh according to taste. The hotel is decorated in a simple modern and clean style. The hotel is also very well located. The Königsee and Jenner Bahn are both within walking distance, and so are a number of restaurants and a bakery.

The property are very clean, right from the entrance. The owner always made sure that everything are in the right place. The room that we stayed in is spacious enough and the comfort room are very neat and tidy.

We spent a month traveling around Europe and our two hosts here were our favorites, hard working, pleasant to talk to, knowledgeable about how to best spend our two days, even good at predicting the local weather ! A nice quiet location with mountainn views but still near all National Park , you can see Eagles nest from the property.

Nothing could have been better

Breakfasts were amazing, such a variety. Wonderful. The room was awesome with the most spectacular view of the mountain and all the extras in the room was a bonus. I even received a kettle on my request. Was stunning and very clean. The staff were amazing and the owner and his wife were absolutely lovely people and answered any questions. Also the hotel is so near to restaurants and bus stops.

Very friendly and helpful owners, who also helped us get the best out of our trip, by giving us very helpful recommendations whenever they could. Our room had a lovely view, looking out on the mountains. The place was very clean and cosy. Breakfast was very nice, with a buffet, often offering different things to try. When the weather allowed it, we could also enjoy our breakfast outside. We often felt like the owners went the extra mile to make our stay enjoyable, and we would definitely like to recommend this place.
