Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

NetherlandsNot per se a « didn’t like » but just a note that would have put the cherry on the top: most hotels we’ve been to that charge extra for a dog put some food/water bowls and a small blanket for the dog in the room. That would have been amazing.
We loved everything about our stay - the super friendly and attentive staff, the cosy atmosphere, the delicious food, the fact they allow dogs, the private sauna and jacuzzi. This is the perfect place for a Black Forest trip

CanadaAn online booking system to reserve pool time would have provided a more convenient way to see what was available and make decision about when to book.
Our stay started with the Hotel Manager picking us up from the train station and providing us a thorough overview of the hotel and local activities. The hotel grounds were in impeccable condition and our room was as expected. The meals were excellent, well deserved of their Michelin rating. Overall, it was the guest service that stood out as they took every opportunity to ensure we were enjoying our stay. We spent a fair amount of time in the outdoor hot tub and the natural pool. We were there on an anniversary celebration and our stay was a perfect fit for the occasion.

Super friendly staff and warm welcome with glass of secco. Nice spacious rooms and excellent bed. We enjoyed our stay a lot and would definetly like to come back to enjoy the gourment restaurant as well. The sauna and jacuzzi were also great after a rainy day in the black forest. Very convenient that they reserve the wellness facilities for you only at the time you'd like to use them. .... and it's all in the details. Small morning letter with activity recommendations for the day, a story about the Schluchsee at your room with a sweet treat, the secco when checking-in. You have it all! Not to forget the great breakfast.
