We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

FinlandIt was a surprise that the hotel accepts only cash. The wifi didn't work on our stay. The lady who works there doesn't want to speak english (although her english is pretty good), so it's a good thing if you understand a little german.
The hotel was nice and the breakfast was really good. Our ship arrived after 9 pm, but we were able to manage with the hotel that there was a key waiting for us.

DenmarkWe had paid for the parking of the hotel, but unfortunately the friendly receptionist didn't know which parkings were from the hotel. So some not so friendly neighbours told us to move the car. That was very inconvenient. It the hotel receptionist knew where the parkings of the hotel are; would have made our arrival much more pleasant.
A very nice antique place to stay in nice surroundings.

United StatesPlease be aware the property is a converted home - so it is missing some of the more modern features a true hotel would have. The doors weren't 'soft close' - so you heard all your neighbors coming in and out because the doors slammed. This was annoying at night when you were trying to sleep. It also doesn't have the noise dimming walls like you'd find at a more modern/standard hotel and there is no air conditioning. One night our neighbors had a shouting match at 2am. Our windows were open that night as well because it was a hot day. Nothing would have prevented the noise. We knew this coming in and don't count that against the property personally, but if this is important to you, this may not be the place for you. The breakfast buffet was mainly breads, jams, and meat slices - the only hot item was scrambled eggs. For 14 Euros/night, this seemed steep. Also be aware the home is located on a residential street and you may not find a parking spot. You may need to park at a large public paid parking lot on the street behind the hotel.
The staff was fantastic! Very friendly and accommodating. The location was a short walk from both the beach and downtown, but away from the main strip so the location itself was quieter. The house itself was charming and unique - it had a great boutique feel to it.

BelgiumWe found only two double beds prepared in the suite, while the ad on booking.com specified that it had 1 double bed + 1 single + 1 unfoldable sofa. We had made clear that we were a family with two teenagers: I think it was clear enough that 2 doubles were not OK ! We had to beg for sheets at the reception desk and manage something by ourselves with the sofa. For such a high price, this is definitely not acceptable.

CanadaThe restaurant was closed as well as the wine bar / room. Would have been nice if we had been made aware of this at time of booking. This was one of the reasons we booked this property. They did make good on serving us the pre-paid breakfast. Lots of negativity about the restaurants, bars and shops in Travemuende from the person who checked us in. We enjoyed all.
Location was good and we loved the old charm boutique hotel feel.
