Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomI think this hotel needs a make-over! I felt it looked its age and the hotel bedroom furniture was, in my opinion, rather tired. The breakfast selection did not inspire which is not something I would have expected from this hotel group. I have no specific negative points to make; I just wasn't impressed. I appreciate that there is a lot of hotel competition in Bremen around the area of the hauptbahnhof (I have stayed in a number of other hotels in the city) so I wish the hotel well in the future. I will sum up by saying; could do so much better.
I had to attend an event in Hamburg the next morning and an overnight stay in Bremen was preferable to paying exorbitant accommodation rates in Hamburg (I had a rail pass so the cost of travelling from Bremen to Hamburg the next morning was not relevant). I think the hotel can best be summed up as functional and, like so many Intercity hotels it's location was a favourable factor.

SwitzerlandUnfortunately, there was no longer a minibar in the room. The minibars have been removed from all rooms on the grounds that they want to be more sustainable. Medication or similar products can be left at reception to be cooled in a separate fridge. Less practical if you are already in bed and can't call reception as there are no phones in the room. My mobile phone wasn't working. There was no solution. Many homeless people and people in need of help stay in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. Less ideal for families with children.
The hotel is centrally located at the main railway station. The room was practically functional and had everything you need for a short stay. Good for larger groups and travellers passing through. Friendly staff at check-in.

India01. No refrigerator in room. 2. No floor mat in bath tub. 3. Bar and restaurant poor selection for vegetarian. 4. Breakfast selection should be better with live egg counter.5. Located next to HBF one can expect some unwarranted elements like solicitors & loud people on occasions.
1. Location. 2. Friendly staff @ front desk. 3. Close to city center. 4. Very big supermarket REWE near hotel. 5. Comfortable room.

United StatesNot an issue with the hotel but it seems the German police are not very strict in controlling the rougher elements that hand around this area at night. Don't leave a bike outside for the night!
Amazing prices (I think I got a really super deal though, around 50 euros?). Right next to the train station, which can be a good or bad thing depending.

AustraliaThe pillow was very very thin, to a point where you might as well not sleep with a pillow! The location next to Hbf is both a blessing and a curse, as the area can be a bit sketchy especially after dark. However, I felt very safe being in the hotel and had no issues. The air conditioning existing but doesn’t really cool the room too much. Again, not a huge issue, but just something to be aware of.
Despite the dated decor, my room was super clean and spotless. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was very convenient. The room came with a complimentary bottle of water.

United KingdomBreakfast is expensive but there are plenty of good value alternatives in the adjacent rail station. We do not use hotel bars but notices in the lifts showed that the hotel bar was rarely (if ever) open. Daily room cleaning is not automatic but a brief word with reception secures it. InterCity once provided guests with a ticket for local buses and trams. This is now restricted to members of their regular customer schemes.
A good room close to the station and easy walk to the City centre. Pleasant view from room.

DenmarkArea around the hotel is very unpleasant. It is around train station, so maybe it’s expected. But we (as a couple) felt really unsafe walking from parking to the hotel.
