As I said in the previous section, I was very comfortable there and like the location.

The bathroom in my particular room was minuscule and the shower floor very slippery. I stayed at this hotel several years ago, had very good memories of it, and don’t remember that the bathroom was so tiny on that occasion. Despite the small bathroom, I was very comfortable in my room.

Breakfast was very good. I like the location. Although it is not very central, it it is conveniently located across the street from an S-Bahn station, so transportation from there to other locations in Berlin is easy.

Absolutely stunning decor in this large traditional hotel, a throwback to a bygone age of opulent kitch design and decor, great to explore each of the floors and the huge sculpture garden to see what you might find. Very kind and helpful staff

They only serve breakfast, no room service or kitchen running other than that. The room had no safe.

Location was great, very close to bus stop and s bahn. Hotel was very well designed, staff was very helpful. Room was clean and big enough. It is in a very quiet area.

Breakfast was excellent. Staff v friendly. Room exceptionally big and choice of pillows. Not usually my furnishing style but it was charming and well looked after. If the weather had been better would have loved to sit in the garden.

It's too cold in the room. It's summer now, but I'm chilling in the room. Another thing is, it's not your fault, but unfortunately, there is not a restaurant or pub near the hotel.

The room is very comfortable. It is very big and well decorated, and much better than I used to think.

Unusual, genuinely old-fashioned, cozy, clean, friendly - but "budget" rooms might be problematic
    • Leisure trip
    • Family with young children
    • Budget Twin Room
    • Stayed 5 nights

    - Too small bathroom in one of the rooms: My "Budget Twin Room" had an almost unusably small bathroom, less than 2x2m, with a tiny sink. I would've gladly paid more for a normal bathroom, but didn't expect to have this kind of issue in a hotel like this. Contrastingly, the "Standard Double Room" had a great bathroom. - Street-facing side is very noisy: It's not an average street, it's a very busy boulevard, with almost continuous hum. But the windows are very good, and are stopping the noise almost completely.

    - Style: Nice old-fashined, pre-war or even 19th century esthetics, which seems genuine/organic, not something artificailly cobbled up. A lot of paintings are real, not prints, and most of the furniture is also from the period. - Size: Cozy, intimate. - Cleanliness: Very clean, nice scent all around. - Staff: Very friendly, pleasant, helpful. - Public transport accessibility: S-Bahn station is barely 200m away. - Garden: Secluded, quiet. - Dezent eingerichtet, gemütlich, sehr sauber, gesundes und leckeres Frühstück, freundliches Personal, gute Anbindung an die Innenstadt. Für jede Empfehlung!

There is nothing really I could find that I didn't like. So all in all this stay exceeded all expectations and I defo would come back and stay with Rotdorn the next time I'll be visiting Berlin! Many many thanks!

It started funny by entering a door on the side. Once walked through the receptionist was standing behind the desk and smiles! I said that I'm too early but maybe we can do something and I can leave my bags already there. Then I got an upgrade and I was even able to check in over an hour before I normally should have arrived! For those not loving oldschool furnished rooms and environment - this might be the wrong place. But in my case this was just perfect!

I didn't like the fact that there were no lifts and I had to carry my suitcase upstairs. My suitcase was small but after a long journey, it was a hassle.

I liked the interior design of the rooms and the lounge. The breakfast was lovely. The staff was helpful. It met all my expectations.

The style of the hotel inner space and rooms was beautiful! Rooms are very clean. Walking distance to Messe Berlin and access to city bycicles and scooters in front of the hotel so you can ride easily to the center for Berlin. One of the most delitious breakfasts I have had - 5 star level!

All turned out well re free parking, which is on nearby side street - really no problem but the Booking.com description should be more clear re names of side streets that allow free parking and that parking is not on hotel grounds.

Quiet location, away from city center but very close to efficient S Bahn stop; very nicely furnished, quiet ‘old’ elegance, but unpretentious; staff very accommodating, friendly and professional; family-run/owned 4+ decades

We loved everything about Hotel Rotdorn.

This hotel is a real gem! A 1920’s exclusive mansion turned hotel, carefully decorated with antique furniture and art. It’s located in the beautiful Westend area with several sights within walking distance, such as the Olympic stadium or Teufelsberg. With an S-Bahn station close to the hotel it’s only a short trip city center. The staff was really service minded and helped out when needed.

Would have liked access to tea and coffee making facilities in the room.

The bed was incredibly comfortable and the room itself was very big and in a traditional style which was nice. The bathroom was also a good size with a hairdryer. . Very good location, close to restaurants and supermarkets. There is also a train station across the road.

More towels!! Like most hotels the towels were too few and a bit small. Would also have liked a bedside table

Very good location near the train station and bus stops. I did not require breakfast but the coffee station and extras were a great idea. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I do not speak German so this was important. Loved the quirky decor and Hopper pictures everywhere. Bed was comfortable.
