Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NorwayWe stayed at the HENRI Hotel Düsseldorf for work and a long weekend in Düsseldorf. The staff are pleasant, the hotel is of good quality and feels like an "intimate" hotel since it is relatively small. The interior of the hotel in the 70s style is stylish. 2 minutes from the nearest subway station means you can get around the city efficiently. 10 minute walk from the hotel down to the centre. The hotel does not have a huge breakfast, but it is of good quality. If we travel back to Dusseldorf, we will choose this hotel again.

BelgiumCan not really give any bad issues.
Very comfortable rooms which are nicely decorated and have a lovely bathroom. The location is super. Close to tram and metro stations which brings you downtown in only 3 stops. Delicious breakfast with lots of choses and all the staff is very friendly and helpful. If you come by car, there is a cheap parking lot only 200 m away from the hotel which is very practical.

SwedenThe air conditioner was a bit loud, yet efficient: we enjoyed a cool room in the late summer heat wave. The curtain solution requires a bit too much effort if you - like me - want true darkness in the room. Also, the button for the blinds was probably partly broken? We got it to work, but it was tricky. In the small workout area, a set of weights would be a great addition! Truly boiling water would give better tea at breakfast.
We loved the homelike feeling and the personable friendliness of the staff - both at the front desk, and in the breakfast area. Good English skills should be something one could take for granted in an international hotel in a big city, but we know that's not a given in Germany. Not so here - great English spoken by all! Also, we really appreciated the warm and thought through atmosphere/aesthetics of the place. The location is also good, close to public trans to take you where you want to go.

Lovely boutique hotel, friendly staff (bar, house keeping), great service, great room (L-studio on top floor with fantastic view over the city, excellent bed, cover and pillows, great interior design. As the hotel doens't have a parkinggarage we parked nearby in the conti tiefgarage oststrasse. Parking on the -2 level is spacious and highly recommended as well as the Henri hotel downtown.

United KingdomDelighted with our stay in this hotel - it actually exceeded my expectations! Staff were friendly without exception and seemed to enjoy working there. Breakfast buffet was brilliant with a wide selection. Beds were comfortable and there were helpful little details, such as a fridge, hairdryer and safe in the room. Found location convenient for getting to and from the main station area and the S-Bahn station and bus stop is right nearby. A very comfortable hotel.

United KingdomThe ventilation is really really bad. I guess the AC needs a deep clean ( too dusty ? ) Every night me and my husband hugely suffer with very extreme allergies. We decided to turn off the AC as we were terribly suffered with it. Once we turned the AC off, the second thing that we have to suffer is the extremely loud traffic. The hotel put us in the corner of the building. Super loud noise from tram, bus, human and car. And the worse thing is it never stop. So we either suffer with bad ventilation or loud noises. I am very sorry to say this but we slept very bad during our 3 nights stay.
It’s a beautiful hotel with nice interior design. Great shower and everything I could see and touch are clean. Breakfast is amazing! Really love it. Also the 24 hrs bar in the lobby is definitely a catch.

United Arab EmiratesThe breakfast could offer more variety, as the selection was the same throughout our four-day stay. Additionally, the body wash in our second room was empty, and despite requesting a refill, it wasn't replaced until two days later.
We had a pleasant stay at the hotel. It was very clean and quiet. The staff were very friendly. Initially, we were given a room with a view of another building, which disappointed our 8-year-old son. However, when we requested a better view, the staff kindly moved us to a lovely room with a stunning 180-degree view of the city. A lady at the reception, whose name I can't recall, was especially helpful in ensuring our stay was enjoyable.

CanadaThe view out our window was very close to an apartment building which lacked a bit of privacy but we kept the curtains closed.
This has a very boutique feel with the decor. We had a king room with kitchenette which included a small table and 2 chairs. I would definitely opt for this size room (L). Our friends had the smaller room and was tight on space. Our room had a separate toilet room to the shower and sink which is nice. We were there for Euros 2024 and was so much fun to come back to the hotel lobby bar at night - have a night cap and meet people from all over Europe staying at the hotel. We did not opt for the breakfast, but looked to be a decent spread of meats and cheeses etc. There’s no restaurant onsite but they have a few snacks you can purchase at the desk or in the kitchen. We brought in takeout Chinese food one night and sat at the tables in the lobby to eat. They even brought us plates and cutlery. The hotel has a few restaurants near by (pizza, Italian, Chinese, Mexican and Frankenheim which has traditional German food and had the Euro games on tv), and a great coffee place across the street (Copenhagen Coffee Lab). There’s a couple breakfast places close by. There is also a coin laundry across the street. It’s close to local train and bus stops and a short walk (15-20 minutes) into the old town where there are so many restaurants, pubs and shops! Really enjoyed our stay.
