Keep in mind that there is no bus coming to this place. There is a 2km hike to St. Peter where bus runs.

Place is really nice, sitting on top of hill, with lots of trails going to different directions. Beds were comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was really good. This place is run by catholic church as place for spirituality. Therefore, there is no real restaurant, so options for lunch and dinner are limited.

The hotel is very good with perfect mountain view. Although the road to the hotel is narrow, the countryside scenery is so beautiful. It's near the small town of St. Peter. We had dinner at a very good restaurant which the staff of the hotel recommended. Children are running in the grassland and chasing grasshoppers. The hotel in the forest is suitable for relaxation for several days. Breakfast is good.

Keep in mind It is a retreat place hence don't expect facilities. The restaurants nearby are lacklustre. Yet the location makes it a great place to stay at for a few days. Having your own transport is highly recommended.

Fantastic location in black forest. Wonderful views. Good breakfast. Not really a commercial hotel, but a retreat. There is s lovely chapel adjacent to the main building. Freiburg can be reached by car in about 35 minutes.

That view is worth everything you could ever ask for in the Black Forest. Simply gorgeous and heavenly. Plus the drive up to the guest house? LOVED it. - Very peaceful & quiet - Perfect for a rest & departure point for hikes - Easy access to cute village - Definitely recommend a car to visit other places around or plan your hikes around the guest house

Unfortunately, the weather was warmer than expected for the end of June and there is no A/C. The room where we stayed faces the parking lot, and the afternoon sun hits the windows which makes the room too warm to sleep comfortably. There is no TV, which was perfect for us, who wanted to decompress. And, please BE careful with ticks. Please hike with long pants and use a good insect repellent. Unfortunately we did not know about ticks and my son, was bitten by a tick which got stuck in the back of his leg.

The property is located in the middle of paradise. You are surrounded by beauty. As a bonus for me, there was a church next to it and a hiking trail. The room was super clean and the staff was really nice. The place is very soothing.

Wifi was not good. Could get connection only some points in room. Not in the entire room. Breakfast also didnt have much choices. For 10 euro it could have been better.

The location is so so beautiful. You dont have to go anywhere to get a nice view. The view from room itself is mindblowing. Room was so clean and the staff were also so nice.

We were satisfied with everything.

The hotel room was super clean. We booked two bedrooms apartment, and it was very spacious and on the top floor with fantastic view. The whole apartment is equipped with floor heating, big bathroom with very comfortable big shower room, full functional kitchen, a lot of closet storage space, etc... The whole self beverage filling system was really convenient and honest. The prices listed for the beverages were so decent, and they just charge for supermarket cost price (even cheaper), which you would never find in other places. We definitely will come back again and recommend it to our friends.

When using the internet (which maybe should have been relaxing and enjoying the area), it worked well but required you to frequently re-connect between sessions. This is a very minor issue, all things considered.

The location was wonderful, very tranquil and relaxing. There are many miles of hiking trails in the immediate area. The grounds are immaculate and very colorful with flowers blooming. The staff was excellent and the breakfast was quite good. Contrary to information we read prior to visiting, the property does accept all major credit cards for payment.

Carpet alert!! People with an allergy to dust mites, be aware that the floor is carpeted. It seemed perfectly clean but as we know, unfortunately carpets can never be really clean, and my asthma kicked in as soon as I entered the room. I would love to come back again but I'll have to wait for the rooms to be renovated and given a wooden floor. Two minor complaints. There was almost no toilet paper in the room when we arrived and the reception was closed for the night (got a spare roll from my daughter's room). No mosquito net on the windows - mosquitoes are plentiful and it's a pity not to be able to sleep with the windows open and enjoy the mountain air. I'd love to have the hotel's feedback on these suggestions for improvement.

The hotel is in a beautiful and very calm spot. The rooms are a bit dated but comfortable. Breakfast was perfect (if a little expensive), with a stunning view from the dining room.
