Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

New ZealandI found the ladies on reception quite unwelcoming initially. Upon arrival you have to pay the membership fee (if not already a member) which they told me was going to be €3.50 but it's actually €5.50 with tax included.
Good location - close to cathedral & Iron bridge. Great spread for breakfast included. Clean bathroom in rooms

United KingdomThe room seemed clean but I did come across a roach. Some information about the opening hours and phone number is incorrect online which confused me at first.
The hostel is easy to get to from the train station. I got a decent night's sleep because I actually only ended up sharing the room for 6 with a couple other people. Overall it was comfortable.

SerbiaThe rooms don't have air conditioning, which is a huge deal during the warmer days.
The rooms are clean. I appreciate that there is a separate bathroom for the rooms, as opposed to having one shared bathroom for the entire floor in other hostels. The lockers are spacious, I could easily store all of my stuff there. The location is just perfect.

France• You need to pay for a card to actually sleep in the hostel, and you also have a tax that makes you pay almost 5€ extra for the night. (But actually, it doesn't depend on the hostel, mostly on the company, and city) • Maybe to have more things in the room such as soaps and hairdryers.
• Globally, the room was clean. Housekeepers come in the room in the morning. • Breakfast service included, and the buffet is top-notch. • A lot of families, what made me feel safe as a female solo traveller.

I loved the cleanliness and the service was efficient. Bed was comfortable and room had two bathrooms so no long waits for other roommates using the same. Location was a a few minutes walk from the train station - very accessible and located in a scenic part of town. Unfortunately did not have breakfast so I cannot comment on the food.

Great location to visit Frankfurt, in a relative quite zone, across the river, but close to restaurants, public transportation, even walking distance to downtown. Breakfast starts at 7am, so, even if you have a relatively early flight, you can still enjoy it.
