Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Czech RepublicNice hotel with friendly reception, an actually working AC (which apparently is quite rare in Berlin) and good location. It's 2 separate houses connected via a corridor and the Garden-facing house is very quite with balconies in the room. Reception staff was very accommodating and helped finding personal belongings after we've already left the hotel. The hotel also has its own underground parking, the price is relatively reasonable at 20 EUR per 24 hours, but anywhere around on the street would be the standard 3 EUR / hour tariff.

SerbiaThe hotel itself is safe, but the location and the neighborhood is unsafe. Many agressive drunks lurking on the street.
It is new, very clean, nice staff.

GermanySome more facilities can be included/repaired in the room. We were not able to open/close the sliding doors of almirah. No dustbins in the room only one in washroom.
Room was clean. Reception staff is friendly. She even considers our request for room with balcony. Location of the hotel is almost near the centre. Grocery shop and quick food options are just adjacent to the hotel.

South AfricaThe pillow was a bit too soft and thin, but some people might like this. I didn’t immediately get the AC to work, and initially thought it was broken. Only before checking out I saw that there was a Youtube video explaining how to use it.
Fabian at reception was fantastic and helped me to check-in early and provided a really lovely “garden-house” apartment. This was amazing to be able to check in early since I was travelling with heavy luggage and really needed somewhere to rest. This assistance is something I really appreciate and won’t forget. The room was super clean, I had a beautiful view of the park and since it was not a street facing apartment it was lovely and quiet. The little balcony is private and has a chair and ashtray should one wish to smoke. The bathroom was also great, good shower pressure and a light up mirror to help with doing your makeup. There is a large closet with a safe. The wifi is good. It is also one of the rare apartment/hotel places that offer AC that actually works. Sparkling water, coffee and tea with creamer available in the little coffee nook. I opted in for the breakfast and was not disappointed. Lovely selection of classics. It’s located right next to the U-bahn and is a few metres away from the tram which was extremely useful. This metro station also has a lift to use which makes it much easier if you have luggage.

NetherlandsIdeally I would have also had a balcony, but that's not really a point of criticism
The room was clean, spacious and light. I requested a room with a bath and they gave me one. I also love the many hooks to hang things on and the built-in closet. The full length mirror was ideal to check outfits out. The staff was very friendly. It's very close to Hauptbahnhof (just 10 minutes by tram)

GermanyThe floor of the room was dusty when we checked in, and it remained dusty for the entire duration of our stay. That was quite unfortunate. Nothing else to complain about. The location is also a bit strange in a sense that the park opposite the hotel has a lot of homeless people loitering about, making one feel unsafe.
All in all, the property was good. The room was big and had all the amenities for a comfortable stay. The bathroom was well lit and ventilated, with a comfortably big shower. The bed's were comfortable and the balcony looked out to over a small park/green space.

United KingdomWe have stayed at Harry's home in Munich few years ago and choosing the Berlin one was logical. There is a budget shop on the left of the entrance (nothing works on Sunday in Germany) and an underground station on the right. There is a shopping mall just across the road. The neighborhood may not be like in the city centre but we felt safe and the transport links are great from there. When it works (i.e. no demonstrations in the city), the M10 tram takes you straight to the main train station in no time. Our rooms were facing the backyard so no street noise whatsoever. On some mornings I could hear (my wife not!) a buzzing sound in the yard like a vacuum cleaner or maybe a water jet (possibly from another building). Comfortable beds, practical storage (not much though), adequate Internet access, good aircon. Rooms are cleaned after 3 days but you can ask for clean towels if needed. We ate outside but the dining area looked cosy. Navigating between the two buildings can be a little confusing at first but you quickly get used to it. We arrived around midnight and had been given instructions on the day how to enter the hotel. One thing I would suggest is to add signs for how to reach the bigger number rooms (from what I remember, in the main building the smaller number rooms are clearly signposted but we had to take a bit of guessing to figure out that ours are in another part of the hotel (Garden House)). The receptionists were very helpful and polite, thank you! Overall a great choice for the price.

EstoniaCheck-in could be a little earlier than 4 p.m. If you arrive at the airport at 9 in the morning, you have to walk around the city with suitcases all day, but this is a problem for all hotels.
A new clean hotel where the subway and tram stop are nearby. Friendly service.

United StatesThere was nothing I didn't like.
Really liked this hotel, would stay there again. A very comfortable room that had everything. AC and TV both worked great. I liked being able to go downstairs and get new towels when I needed them. Also it was convenient to be able to do laundry (washer + dryer) a few floors down, using an app. The hotel is in a great location, with access to a bus and tram that get you to the Hauptbahnhof in just a few minutes. Friedrichstrasse and Zoo Garden were also easy to get to.

Wonderful hotel with modern facilities and fantastic staff in a convenient location to main attractions. All the staff who we encountered during our stay were super helpful, professional and friendly. We had a nice quiet room with a small balcony overlooking a park which was a nice peaceful escape at the end of the day. The hotel is a short walk from a metro station and tram station that can connect you to most key sights.
