Beds and pillows were a bit soft for my taste.

Fabulous staff - really helpful. Amazing location for restaurants and the Ubahn. I was travelling with teenagers and having beds in two separate rooms addressed everyones need for privacy. The apartment had access to a courtyard garden which would be lovely in the summer.

Difficulty of getting places further afield without wi-fi (my phone stopped working early on), however, this was nothing to do with the hotel.

The hosts' friendliness. Ease of access for wi-fi. Size of room (large). Centralness to transport links. Closeness to good pubs and restaurants.

The Booking.com listing includes several photos of a beautiful courtyard. We were disappointed to find that the courtyard is not available for use by hotel guests.

Hotel Gunia is very well located within a short walk of the Nollendorfplatz U station, and within easy walk of many restaurants, cafes, a Lidl grocery store, and a laundromat. The room was spacious, clean and quiet. The interior of the hotel retains many historic features of the original building.

The Hotel is well located. There are a lo of restaurants in the parallel streets. It is a quite neighbourhood. The hosts are polite and take care of all your needs.

We would have been happy if we had the opportunity to eat not only breakfast, but also dinner at the hotel. As we were staying at the hotel for three nights, we had to buy our own shower gel as the samples provided would not have been enough.

The employees were very kind and responsive, they gave directions on how to get to the center more easily, what kind of transport to use, and also named nearby places that can be visited. The breakfast was very delicious, we liked the peaceful atmosphere in the premises.

The bathroom walls weren't exactly soundproof as they were quite thin (the bathroom was installed into the rooms somewhat recently from the looks of it).

Staff was super friendly and very helpful, gave some good recommendations on places to check out in the area. Location was fantastic for us as we were able to walk to eg. Brandenburger Tor and there was an U-Bahn stop nearby, so getting around was a breeze. The room was furnished well with a massive wardrobe and just a lovely atmosphere / interior.

My expectations were fulfilled. I didn´t expect more from an old-fashioned (in a good way) hotel.

Super hospitable hosts, clean rooms with high ceelings, there were no conditioners but the building stayed nice and cool during the hot days we spend. The hosts were also super sweet and helpful, when it came to essential questions such as where could we fins a parking spot or where is the nearest flower shop. Thank you a lot!

I didn't mind at all since I always go for charm above comfort, but the historic building has no elevator. However the nearest u-bahn is at a walking distance and the hotel is only one set of stairs.

Old fashioned, and I mean that in the best of ways, hospitality combined with a very central location in Berlin. I had a 5star worth welcome in a historic Berlin environment.

- The garden view images in the description are very misleading, the hotel actually has NO access to the garden. (Confirmed with the reception that no garden access) - Room lighting is a bit dim.

- The single room is well-equipped and has a small private bathroom - Housekeeping is nice and supplies shampoo and soap - Perfect location, 5 min walk from U station Nollendorfplatz

As a young woman travelling alone I felt very safe at Hotel Gunia. The staff was incredibly nice and friendly. The hotel is located in an old building and very pretty. Even though the room was small, it was a good size for someone travelling alone with a small but functioning bathroom. The hotel is located only a few minutes from Nollendorfplatz Station and from there it's just a few stops to most sightseeing spots. It's also easy to get to from Berlin HBF. I truly recommend this place!

Liked everything, but the only bad thing was that the private bathroom was outside the room, but I already knew it (correct information on booking).
