Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomThis place really exceeded my expectations- it's a perfect place for a solo traveller like me. Quiet but central, with affordable but delicious food in the restaurant if you're feeling more introverted or have a late in the day flight back home. I alai treated myself to the breakfast 19 EUR and it had fantastic high quality variety. The staff were really friendly and helpful which means a lot when you're solo travelling. A lovely little oasis.

Hotel staff were all lovely- efficient and friendly and appeared to work well as a team The hotel was modern with eclectic decor based on Grims fairytales my room was themed on little Red Riding hood with woodland flowers and drawings of a little girl and wolf( not at all scary!) everywhere was beautifully clean and well appointed. Quiet urban location near river. Easy to walk to centre . Breakfast ( exceptional range of fruit yoghurts breads cheeses etc) and dinner were good and served in a cosy relaxed dining area.

Czech RepublicA very busy and main road is next to the hotel. If I opened a window, I was hearing a noise all the time, even by night.
The hotel is situated near Potsdamer Platz and is quite new. My room looked modern and a bed was comfortable. A breakfast was very delicious. They have many options for vegans, which I really appreciate.

Really close to the u bahn station and a short walk to Potsdamer Platz, but a nice quiet location. The hotel was spotless and beautifully decorated, with quirky touches in keeping with the fairy tale theme. There's a lovely outdoor restaurant/bar area, we didn't eat just had a drink there but the food looked very good. We asked for a balcony room which we got, and it was a nice little extra. The beds were very comfy too!

United KingdomAircon in the room- whilst it is stated that every room has aircon, there was no visible air con unit in my room and i ended up relying on open windows to try and stay cool; not ideal in 25+ degree heat.
A great location from which to explore Berlin; close enough to walk to the very heart of the city and with great public transport stations nearby. The room wasn’t huge but it was well designed and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was fabulous, a wide variety on offer at the buffet.
