With a lot of luggage a bit difficult to reach second floor rooms.

The only negative thing is that you can hear every footsteps from the floor above you, and in the morning it can make it difficult to sleep.

The hotel was close to the beach and it was possible to walk there, plus the landscape is very scenic. It is a small city perfect for quite vacation.

It was a low season. The hosts were very friendly and polite. They made a huge German breakfast , you will be full for a half a day )) There is a bus stop nearby and you can easy get to the ferry to Kontanz.

This has nothing to do with the Grüner Baum itself, but staying there (unless you have your own transport) does require guests to get used to the bus timetable in order to get anywhere. (there's only a baker next door that does coffee, sandwiches and cake: no other stores, but a large supermarket is a 20-minute walk towards Meersburg through a lovely, vineyard countryside. There are 3 bus lines, the 700 stops outside the Gasthof (and reliably stops – from memory: 20 past the hour). The same goes for the larger 2 lines (eg the 7395) that connect Stetten to Konstanz and Friedrichshafen. The stops for those buses are down the street on the main road. The bus to Konstanz boards the ferry across the Bodensee. The timetables are available online and at the bus stops. Once you have those, staying at the Grüner Baum is value for money. Standard bus fares (without discount tickets) were E2.70 E for short trips and E 5.00 for longer.

I liked my room. It was clean and comfortably furnished. There are a number of room types available. Mine was a single. Some have lovely views. I ate at the restaurant a couple of times. The food was delicious and regional. The staff was helpful. It was quiet at night.

Easy access to town with bus, can also take the bus with ferry to Constans. Nice room though a little noice from traffic. Very nice food from the citchen. Thumbs up

There was nothing not to like!

Traditional German rural hotel, close to the historic town of Meersburg. Views over Lake Konstanz from several rooms. Lovely owners/staff for whom nothing was too much to make the stay pleasant and comfortable. Brilliant Public Transport connections with busstop right outside the hotel. Lovely traditional German food, and excellent breakfast. Excellent value for money. We will definitively be back for more

The fridge wasn’t turned on as we were only staying one night.

The room was clean and comfortable, with a good shower and coffee machine (BYO milk). A cheaper option than staying in the bigger towns, yet only a short drive away if you have a car.

We liked the rooms. We stayed twice and one time had a cute balcony and the other time a larger room and bathtub. We slept very well. Staff made sure I didn’t leave charger.

The owners were crazy warm, helpful and nice people. They help me and my wife a lot, and give us lot of useful tips for our travel. In liked very much the wood room, and the inn style place for lunch. It was quiet and I slept very well. The hotel was very cozy and the breakfast a typical German breakfast, very tasty.
