Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

MaltaI had all I needed for a couple of days stay in Kassel. It is very easy to get to the city center with just one bus (unless you want to do a good morning walk). The person in charge was so very helpful and welcoming. I got this accomodation at extremely cheap prices compared to other places in the same town. With that being said, anyone choosing this option has to remember that they are going for Value for money.

IndiaThe owner is the real asset of the guest house. She offered to pick med up at bus stand, since I arrived late and was very friendly and helpful. Compared to all other places available, this room was reasonably priced during the first weeks of Documenta.

IndiaIt was having a smell, there was no soap or body wash, towels were not clean, bed was very bad and I had a back discomfort daily after I got up from the bed.
Property was located very far from the main station, eventhough it is 5 kms, I had to travel in 2-3 trams which was 45-50 minutes. I noticed was mentioned near to train but no proper connections

TurkeyIt's really my worst experience in a furnished apartment The sheets are disgusting, the apartment is hideous, the bathroom smells, and when we arrived they tested us that we can turn on the heating, when it got cold and I tried to turn on the heating it is not working, and the owner of the apartment told me that it was summer and there was no need for it and refused to turn on the heating The address was changed after I booked to an address 15 minutes away by car I advise you to look for another place

SerbiaFirst of all, the check-in is not the same on bookin.com and with the owner. On booking.com it was written from 12:00, the owner put in her message from 13:00. Then, when we started corresponding, she tried to postpone it to 15:00, citing the fact that the facility is not expensive. I didn't ask for any discount! This way of doing business is absolutely unacceptable! The whole facility, both the room and the bathroom, were very dirty. The bedding did not smell clean, there was a stain on the sheet. I reacted to the stain while the owner was there, she changed the sheet and put another one that was even more stained! The dish sponge looks like it has been used for several months. There is no isolation, the noise from the neighbourhood is great. Finally, what is the saddest thing about the whole story, a note was left on the table with the following content: "Important note for the evaluation of the room: You have booked a room with the lowest price in all of Kassel. Your room costs 30 euros per night, at booking.com other rooms are significantly more expensive. I therefore ask for fairness in any online evaluation." As a regular customer of booking.com, I ask that such business unethical in the form of begging be reconsidered.

SingaporeBed sheets were old and not as clean, still found hair around and there wasnt a fan provided during the hot summer whilst only one window could be opened. It was tough sleeping with the noice from the streets and no fan.
There’s fridge and microwave in the room. Location farely easy to get to, dont follow google maps, it didnt tell me the option for the tram!
