No bars within walking distance so just expect the quiet neighbourhood Breakfast was delicious but was the same every day would be nice to have a few different cooked foods each day.

Lovely hotel, room was quite big too! Breakfast included in the price In a nice quiet neighbourhood but right next to the train stop, so it was easy for us to get into the city every day. Didn’t get to eat in the restaurant but heard it was very good and the outside garden area is very pretty

The table next to my bed was sticky when I got there which was strange. I also found it to be a bit too pricey for the location and furnishing.

It is an authentic German hotel with a fantastic breakfast. The location is outside of cologne, which is good if you want to escape the hectic city filled with homeless people. However, though it is outside the city, the tram number 16 basically goes directly to the hotel, so its an easy 30 minute tram ride into the city.

Nothing. Our room was on the ground floor,large,comfortable and the windows opened onto the courtyard where there were some ducklings. Charming. We found the German ladies to be very friendly and helpful in the area.

I liked the homely feel of the hotel.Breakfast was nice,staff were very friendly and helpful with guidance on how to use the trams.

Bathroom was a little tired but very clean and perfectly functional. A fan in the room would have been useful.

Lovely property with a mixture of old and new. Very nice staff who were really helpful. We were on our motorbike and were allowed to park it in the locked courtyard which was just great. Breakfast was lovely and the evening meal we had in the restaurant was very good too, just be prepared with a translation app as no menu in English.

There is a parking lot in the courtyard of the next building, but free space is not guaranteed for hotel guests. There are no air conditioner.

Very quiet milieu, the building is beautiful and very cozy. The breakfast is good and the staff is kind and helpful.

The bathrooms, although very spacious, definitely need some updating. The bathtub was quite high climbing in was not a problem, but getting out of a slippery bathtub where you have to step over the high rim and the floor is a few inches lower than the bottom of the tub is challenging. The size of the bathtub really should allow for a nice shower area. We stayed on a Saturday night, and the town was dead; restaurants were closed, even the one on the premises. Eat dinner before you get to Fladerhof.

I liked the room, and the beds were comfortable. I also enjoyed the historic setting and the easy walk down to the Rhine River. The breakfast was delicious.

There was nothing I didn't like but I'd have really appreciated tea and coffee-making facilities in the room.

The breakfast buffet was excellent: there was a huge range, lovely scrambled eggs and coffee, and of course, bread! I loved the location and the building, being able to go for quiet and cooler walks alongside the Rhein after a busy time in the city on hot days. The staff were very approachable and helpful. The bedroom and bathroom were a bit tired looking but adequate enough and comfortable. No facilities to make a drink either.

Lovely old building and new additions were tasteful but still in keeping with the surroundings. The evening meal was exceptional. Great location for public transport into Cologne.

Water stream is too weak to take a good shower. Staff was not available during the holiday and the room was not arranged - there wasn't any supply of toilet paper. The fan was not sufficient for cooling the room.

We really enjoyed staying here. The rooms are big and clean and the bed is very comfortable. The staff from reception very polite and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. The lady from breakfast, Gina, was so nice with us. Helped us with all the information we needed, lovely lady ( thank you, Gina).

Stayed here while Scotland were in town. Amazing place, beautiful converted old building with loads of character. Lovely helpful staff and a huge room. Would highly recommend!

It was one of the more expensive hotels we stayed at, but it was in with the rest of the hotels around the area. There were no facilties to make your own coffee and tea.

It was in a village on the outskirts of Cologne, but has very good tram links to the city centre.

As I mentioned, the location is far from the city centre by public transport (50 min) but the tranquility and sleep quality cancels out this one issue. I wouls toll recommend staying especially after a long day

The setting and hotel was beautiful, food exceptional at the restaurant. It was extremely quite so I was able to a good night of sleep. The location is well separated from the city, which has it's positive and negative. I was overall very much satisfied with my experience
