Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

It was great to get a room so close to the Hauptbahnhof and restaurants, shops etc. The staff were super friendly and helpful. I loved the old-world feel of the building mixed with the modern convenience of the my bedroom/bathroom.

LithuaniaNo air conditioner. Windows is near the busy and noisy street, it was noisy during all the night (transport noise mainly). Despite renovation, it might be seen some oldies in the facilities so the was no feeling of cleanliness and freshness.
Very good location. Near train station, near city center and near public transport stations so everything is easy to reach. It is renovated so in general it is better than you might think reading some old comments.

Sri LankaRoom did not have AC. When it was mentioned the staff immediatly provided us with a small fan. Better if the room had more space. Had to ask for a kettle and tea bags. But when requested the staff was very kind enough to provide them soon. Better if the breakfast buffet had more variations. It had a very small variation.
Staff was really friendly and ready to help us with information and facilities. Location is also great.

IrelandOur room had strictly no WIFI network and didn't get any during our all stay. Bedroom doors very noisy when visitors enter and leave their bedroom. The room was exactly as I expected it from the pictures but unfortunately, despite being quite newly-renovated, the walls were quite marked and damaged.
Amazing location: SO central!! 5 minutes from everything: city center, central train station, busstop for Memmingen airport. The staff reacted very quicly replacing our tv-remote when I told them it was not working.

Czech RepublicAC is not working; and during a hot night, it is not possible to open the window due to the outside noise. The cleaning lady entered the room at 9 and woke us up (check-out is at 11).
Great location close to the railway station and city center. Nice a helpful staff. Possibility to leave luggage after check-out, free of charge.

GermanyThe walls in the room could use a new round of paint. It also looked like there were repairs done recently that weren't completely finished yet, with wires coming out of the ceiling. Also, I could hear people in the hallway, but to be fair, they were screaming at each other, and doors falling shut. Also, the AC or something in the bathroom setting in while showering was extremely loud.
Loved the bathroom and the staff members' friendliness. Also the location is great if you need to get to the Main Train Station quickly in the morning.
