Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

RussiaThe price for a 3 bed room (2 adults + 5 yeas old child) including breakfast is a bit higher than expected. I think that the breakfast should be better or the price should be a bit cheaper (-10-20 EUR). Thank you.
We stayed in the hotel because of the location. We have plans to return. Kind personal, comfortable beds, clean rooms, hotel is close to the tram station: 10-15 minutes by train and you are in the city centre. Thank you.

South AfricaWiFi signal. Small shower cubicle. Under bed storage seems to be missing. A shelf above the bed would be handy as storage space is minimal.
Breakfast: Sufficient, fresh, plentiful and well presented. Typical hotel European breakfast. Although eggs were not presented on the buffet, they were available on request or offered by the hosts. Breakfast room: clean, regularly cleared and homely. Room: comfy, clean and well equipped. No standard cup, kettle or coffee and tea, but the kettle and mug can be supplied free of charge on request. You get what you pay for. Extensive TV channels and big TV. There are enough small shops in the area to buy coffee sachets, cool drinks etc. WiFi: signal in the room was intermittent and weak. This was the only drawback, but had an impact on my work. I needed to sometimes switch to my mobile phone for Internet connectivity. Location: Brilliant location with a tram station 150 m away. From there it's a 8 minute ride to the old city center and main train station. Easy connection to busses. Reasonably priced restaurants and fast food joints are in abundance. Tech and pharmacy stores are within walking distance a few meters to a few minutes away, to purchase mobile phones and accessories or pay as-you-go SIM cards, medical needs, electric and electronic parts.

GermanyNo elevator but not a deal breaker since there are not many floors. The room was a bit small but for the price paid, it was acceptable.
The staff were very responsive and helpful as the train workers went on strike and I was not sure of arrival. The room was very quiet as requested. The location was good if you don’t mind taking the public transport as the tram stop was very near.

GermanyWe stayed only for one night, for sleeping in the night before our very early flight on the next day. Therefore location was very important. We could reach airport with u2 very easily and walking to u2 station was 8 min walk in the early morning. So the location of the hotel is definitely very good. It was old but very clean hotel Stuff was very friendly

NetherlandsOnly downside, although a choice for the guests. Breakfast for kids is the same price as for adults. Our youngest just eats one croissant and a tiny yoghurt. And you pay €10,00 for that. We’ve been at other hotels where you pay half price for kids. Like I said. It’s a choice to eat at your hotel. But it’s nice if the price is adjusted too kids.
The location was good for its purpose. We needed a overnight hotel on our way to Croatia and this was on the way. And we picked a very nice hotel. The staff is friendly, room was clean. Kids loved the bunk bed. Breakfast was good. Nice to have parking at the hotel grounds. Mind you. You need to make a reservation for private parking.

GermanyThe fan at the ceiling is dangerously close to the bunk bed. Having it on and sleeping on the top bunk is not a good idea. The hotel refers to this though too in their welcome to the room guide. There is also no AC so in the summer it gets warm and stuffy, but in all honesty it's not trip-ruining especially if the window is kept open. Otherwise no complaints.
The hotel is perfect for a group of friends doing a short one or two night stopover in Nürnberg. Located well, with a bakery a one minute walk away, it offers a well-priced place to stay, especially if on a long journey where a night stopover is needed. Beds are comfortable, rooms are clean and offer just what you need.

United KingdomThe room was basic, but that suited us fine for the purposes of our trip. Pillows on the bed were bit disappointing. Although the room facilities appeared clean i.e., the paint work needed a touch up and we noticed some finger marks on the paint work. It would have been nice to have had a kettle and tea coffee facilities in the room. Again purchased a very basic room so maybe these things are addressed in an upgrade.
Great central location, lots of bakeries, supermarkets nearby, very easy transport links and easy to get in around Nurnberg. We stayed for the purposes of going to the Rock im Park festival. This was a simple bus drive down the road. One night we walked back and this is 45 walk. Easy and secure to get in and out using key card. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Did not purchase breakfast so can't comment, but we were offered to add this on at the point of check in. Very reasonable price paid for what we needed. Would stay again!

SpainThe room is a bit small, with the bed against the wall, so if two persons are lying down, it is a bit difficult for one person to get out of bed if the other is lying on the outside.
The bed was comfortable, and the heating was appreciated. It is quiet, and despite being on a busy street, you can't hear the traffic. It is fine that they leave the key in the box outside if no one is at the reception. There was a problem with the hot water, and they immediately fixed it.

United Kingdomit was overpriced for the stay - the price we paid should have included breakfast. there were no restaurants around for us to eat at, so we ended up at the local shop to pick up something for tea on our last night. there was banging and loud hoovers early in the morning.
the gentleman who greeted us was really nice and welcoming. We were happy with the facilities.
