Although there was an elevator to the first floor I needed to take another stair case to reach my suite. That was an unwelcome surprise and no help was offered. So if you stay at the Barbarossa suite and they say there's an elevator: there is, but only part of the way. Also, it would have been nice to see smiles at the reception when I checked in and checked out (2 different people).

I was in a suite and it had excellent air conditioning (not all rooms there do), which was great on one of the hottest days of the year. Excellent location, nice beer garden, nice courtyard.

Room too hot with no air con and only a fan that was not enough. No space for baggage. Very rudimental sheet.The bottom sheet was practically the mattress cover!

The building is splendid in its location and common parts, especially the inner garden which the room overlooked. Nice staff. They also have a detached restaurant also good.

The staff charged me twice. Once via booking and once at the property. Emails but they never came back. Unfortunately I booked with my card and my dad paid with his for the booking so it’s a broken chain and they were unhelpful to solve this issue

Beautiful hotel in a top location, just near the Speyer dom. Clean room, comfortable bed. Unfortunately no air conditioning, which would have been pleasant during the warm days. A fan was available though. The breakfast was rich and sufficient. Next to the hotel there is a biergarten, including restaurant, also from the hotel. Nice location under the trees. We had diner in the restaurant, which tasted very good. Too bad something went wrong with crediting the bill to our room, but that was taken care of during check-out.

This hotel is ideally located for the city centre of Speyer and a short stroll from the Dom. There is free parking outdoors and a paid parking garage onsite. Everything is to the highest standard and beautifully maintained. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We loved the dinner in the connected brewery and breakfast in the hotel courtyard.

This hotel was exceptional .Clean , luxurious , spacious , friendly .beautiful....I could go on. I stay in a lot of hotels but this one was something else . Beautiful restaurant attached .The German charme but still not old world .I hope I will be back there soon. SUPERB !!

Our window went out over the inside court and (British) guests were having a loud discussion there until midnight.

Quite some luxury on the Rhine Route. We could put the bicycles in the garage, the room was quite wonderful, the breakfast very good. Staff was very welcoming and friendly.

It would be better to have a queen size bed instead of two beds pushed together.

The check-in was seamless and very easy. Our room was clean the bed although two beds pushed together was comfortable. The location is fantastic walking distance to the town and river a lovely place for three day vacation.

Nothing, everything was perfect

Upon arrival we received an upgrade to a Junior Suite, which was a beautiful room, with an excellent bed, shower and amenities. Breakfast was excellent, one of the best we have had during recent hotel stays. Our car was full, as we were driving home from Italy so the use of the private locked garage for only Euro 12.50 was an important extra. Just outside the hotel were two loading stations for electric cars, which was very convenient. Getting back to the highway was also extremely easy.
