Breakfast room and choices were great, Excellent service clearing tables and buffet always being replenished. Easy walk to nice area in the evening for restaurants/bars. Room was spacious and had great views. Liked the daily water provided and coffee facilities and comfy bed too.

During the breakfast I had to asked the waiter many times to not clean up the table and remove the plate because I was finishing the meal. I understand efficiency but I felt that I had to rush and go, even if my breakfast was on average very fast. During the booking I informed in advance that I had 2 cats with me and I was informed that was perfectly fine and only an additional fee applies. However during the check-in they said to me that actually cats are not allowed and I should close them in the bathroom to avoid them scratching the furniture. I find this unacceptable to inform about this upon the arrival and also the discrimination about different type of animals, if you are a pet friendly hotel this should not happened.

Nice location, conformable and clean room. The breakfast has a very good variety of products and it is definitely better than the average breakfast in this type of hotel

There wasn't too much to not like about the hotel. The one complaint was that guests generally smoked by the front door, when returning late they would congregate around the front door, after 1 am, and become a little raucous. Unfortunately they were not advised to quiet down or move inside - this went on in excess of 30 mins.

The breakfast had a good choice of continental and hot food, including an omelette station. The hotel has a small amount of parking to the front of the property. The staff were all very friendly and happy to help, with exception of the bar manager. The room was compact but clean and enough with a large double shower with a good view into Hamburg across the lake.

Not convenient to the city center. It's a 10 minute $15 cab ride.

Staff was very accommodating - We were traveling with my son's wife and children. We needed changes to our original plan and they were very helpful. This hotel is in a quiet, high income, residential neighborhood and there are plenty of excellent restaurants in walking distance.

In the bathroom was a little note saying that to recude the use of water and heat, you could hang up your towel to let everyone know you would use it again. Towel on the floor meant ‘please wash it.’ We both hung our towels, but yet whenever we returned we noticed they were replaced with clean ones, which was a bit unnecessary, we would have used the same towel for 3 days without issues. This seemed a bit against their own policy😅But maybe it was a misunderstanding.

Very neat and clean hotel, there are some snacks, drinks and sanitary products available 24/7 (at your own cost, but still great to always have something), the room seemed to get cleaned when we were out, even when we haven’t checked out yet. Very nice service! 😊

It´s not the hotels fault, but there was a huge construction site that made it hard to get to the Alster and changed bus stations around which sent us on a big bus scavenger hunt. The breakfast can get very full and require a wait time sometimes.

The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was really great with fantastic variety. The hotel is not quite in the city but the Outer Alster is a quick hop away if you want to go for a walk or jog and there are plenty of restaurants in the area. Loved the quiet sitting area outside the hotel and wish they fixed it up more as not only smokers like to sit out in summer. The little convenience store was very practical, specially as a family.

Unfortunately there is a huge amount of road works and bridge repairs just 200m away. This makes it very difficult to access the Alster lake or the shopping and restaurant area of St Georg. When these works are complete the hotel will be the ideal location

We were charged for parking €26 per night. Given the price of accommodation we thought that was a bit steep. The restaurant was not open on the night we stayed, so we only had an option of sitting in the bar. There were extensive roadworks around the hotel on the main roads.

The hotel was very modern & comfortable. The room was spacious, well equipped and airconditioned. It was a very hot night, so this was essential if we were going to get any sleep. The bed was comfortable and the toiletries were good quality. Very nice breakfast, too.

The roads leading to the hotel were under construction. The hotel has no control over it but it did not affect our stay as the staff completely outweighed with their professionalism and welcoming attitude the mess on the roads leading to the hotel.

It is such a wonderful experience to meet welcoming people at the beginning of your stay. Joanna from the front desk was extremely polite and helpful. The rest of the front desk were very pleasant, helpful and beyond what I have expected. The breakfast staff were awesome especially Nils, with such a welcoming & warm smile to start your day on a super positive note. Thank you Crowne Plaza Hamburg for a pleasant stay.

Somewhat crowded breakfast.

The breakfast was excellent with many choices of food. The only downside was that the breakfast was typically somewhat crowded. That being said, it was well organized, so even when there was a wait it was usually not too long. The room was tidy and in good condition, including bathrooms. We especially enjoyed the closeness to Außenalster for evening strolls. Walking distance (about 20 min) from the main station. The area around the hotel was also quite nice without "suspicious looking people"
