Beds a bit uncomfortable, bedding a bit limited, carpet a bit old so room was a bit stuffy. WiFi cut often, had to switch access codes each time. No kettle or fridge.

The staff who helped get us our key when the lock box pin was not working were very friendly and helpful, communicated in excellent English. Location is perfect, room was quiet - no noise disturbances even being close to the main street. Breakfast really good, catering staff very friendly and accommodating.

The main door the guests used is almost broken. You have to fight with it to get in. All the rooms have old locks.

Location and staff were great. Breakfast was okay. Coffee was boiling.

The room was at the front on the corner of a busy junction. The traffic was very noisy and because there was no air con or fan in the room, we couldn’t sleep as we had to leave the window open due to it being 30 degrees outside. We had a long journey the following day so we were extremely tired due to the lack of sleep. The choice we had was to have it quiet in the room but boiling hot, or airy with the window open but a sleepless night because of the noisy traffic. After a lot of discussion with the manageress she reluctantly gave us 10 % off our bill, which in our opinion should have been more seeing we didn’t get the sleep we paid for.

Handy for the town centre. Hotel was clean and breakfast was plentiful.

Bed is too old. Mattress sinks if you sit/lay down on it. Other equipments are also old.

Check in was a hassle. Although we had booked a room for 4 people (2 adults, 2 kids), we were given a room for 3 people. Staff at reception spoke no English, French or Spanish, and we don't speak any German, so this made communication difficult. The chef from the kitchen who spoke English was called to assist. He explained that Booking often makes deceptive promises but that hotel itself cannot deliver on. A simple solution would have been to put a single mattress or a cot in the room, but staff said they had none. A long telephone call between staff and management still did not lead to any solution. Finally, the staff said they could give us a single room for their "regular" (exorbitant!) rate. We declined this offer, because we had already paid Booking.com for a room for 2 adults and 2 kids. But after our family had cycling 60 km, we were exhausted, sweaty and hungry, so we suggested to pay HALF of the cost for the additional single room, and they agreed. I got the feeling this scenario was not unusual for this hotel, and staff were quite happy to put the blame on Booking, while continuing to benefit from their business, rather than finding a sustainable solution to this problem. In the future, I will not rely on Booking.com's confirmation email. I will instead call the hotel reception ahead of arrival to make sure it can deliver the promised room.

1. Location was good. 2. Bike-friendly: there was space on the ground level for us to store our bikes. 3. We appreciated very much the kindness of one member of staff in the morning: after we checked out when we were preparing to leave on our bikes in the POURING rain, she stepped outside and invited us to go back into the hotel to have a coffee and wait until the rain slowed down. This was a very kind gesture and we thank her especially. 4. Also a big thanks to the chef who spoke English, and could therefore help us communicate with reception.

Food is really bad. The steak restaurant is really bad. The breakfast is even worse. On the bright side, it is also expensive 😆

The room was old and worn out, but ok for one night. OK beds.

We hated the street noise in the night, every night!!! And on top of that, around 4 am there was a group of people in the street right under our window chatting loudly for a long time!! it was hot in the room so we had to have our window open. There is no Airconditioning in the room and the rooms are urgently in need for modernisation! The mattress was very hard and uncomfortable. Breakfast was poor! We came down quite early. There was only 1 boiled egg leftover, some normal rolls (no fresh croissants at all!!) some packed croissant filled with chocolate cream but they were over date and all the yogurt cups were 2 weeks over date!! It was so poor that we just didn’t bother going down for breakfast the next morning!!

1- the pillows were very old and sitinking 2. There were bed bugs 3. The shower was very old and the water coming out was hitting the body 4. The showergel was filled as if a shower can happen one time for three person 5.The brown bread got over at 9:00am itself! 6. Three star hotel for a stay like this is not worth it, very disappointed
