It was night around 11:30PM and the key which was given to us was not working seems couldn't open the door and I was stranded outside with my family. Luckily we got another tenant in the same hotel opened the door and we could able to enter. The hotel reponsible person didn't answered the call and not even bothered to check in the morning with my missed calls.

Staff: difficult communication due to language barrier. Not good in English. Evening was mostly no one to be found behind the reception. No wifi access or they say they have wifi, but instructions to get on their WiFi was very terrible didn't get it and no one to ask for help. Something about go to control panel select their name(didn't even appear on our telephones) create a new account....well very unaccessible WiFi for us, so many steps. We used WiFi from the trainstation, which had easier WiFi access, click @db and you had WiFi access. The power outlets were less and the other available ones were behind the bed...one of them was even defect, fell out😂😂😂 The shower was very tight. No air conditioning be warned for if you want to go in the summer.

Location, very central. Close to different shops and restaurants. It's at ten minutes walking distance from Oberhausen hbf. So also easy access to public transportation and taxis. Room was wide enough for my family and the beds were comfy and it was clean. If you only need a place to sleep, so basic stay only is quite nice.

Rooms are not clean . Bed linen are old looking and dirty. . The comforter for my room was for toddler or kids with cartoon characters. Room smells. During my stay room never got cleaned. My bed was never made . The internet barely works. On and off through out my stay. I requested to check out of this horrible place but wouldn’t get my refund. This place is like a dormitory nothing like a hotel. No fan or air conditioning. Due to the weather I needed a fan at least.

We came there for a business trip, but there are a lot of bed bugs in the room, we could not fall asleep. Had to find another hotel at 1am, which made us exhausted. We never experienced a hotel like this before!!!! Moreover, the staff who is working at the reception is rude too, since we cannot understand German, and our French banck account does not work somehow at the beginning, it's not our fault. So we changed another card then it worked. And we asked what is the different from the receipt, he answered in a so unpatient way- first bad impression.

Had trouble with WiFi but I didn't have time to ask for help before my online lesson so it could have been me.

Good location near to my favourite cafe and restaurant. Room and bathroom were clean. Other reviews said that the staff don't speak English, there was only one of us speaking German when checking in and that was me. There was a nice terrace out the back, not posh but 100% to my taste.

The duvet and pillows had a very unpleasant smell and were very old. Pillows were very uncomfortable, I couldn’t sleep at all. I will never book it again and definitely do not recommend it.

I found the location far away from shopping area. Difficult to communicate with the staff. The room was okay, but lots of spiderwebs in the corners and the fridge was full of old crumbs. I would recommend to go for a proper hotel insted. This is a hostel .

Free parking was a bonus.
