Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWhat a fantastic location. Lovely hotel. Room was huge. Large bathroom with bath and a shower. Room and Bathroom was very clean. My room had a sofa, arm chair. Desk and a tv. Bed was really comfy. Room had curtains and not blinds but they were very good at blocking the light. So much so i didn’t know what the time was except for the noise outside of cars driving. This is perfect for visiting the old town as it is literally around the corner and you are there. Breakfast was super. Usual breaky stuff. Rolls, meats, cheeses, cereals. Drinks etc. There is no restaurant in this hotel but the town has lots of places to eat. Not the hotels fault, but there are building works still going on so you can’t park at the hotel. I parked in the free car park Tanzwerde opposite the hotel. It’s short walk across an old covered bridge. It was worth it to get photo of the place. Really glad i chose this hotel. I can highly recommend it.

United KingdomThere was nothing we did not like. We knew when we booked that it did not have a restaurant for evening meals but there are plenty close by.
The location of the hotel alongside the river and within the old town is delightful. Plenty of restaurants and things to see within easy walking distance. Our suite was spacious, very well furnished, spotlessly clean and a lovely large bathroom. Breakfast was excellent and the availablity of coffee and tea all day was a pleasant touch. All the staff were extremely helpful. pleasant and friendly. We highly recommend this hotel.

United KingdomAt present new access works and improvements to the river terraces made access to the hotel tricky by vehicle.
The hotel enjoys a delightful location overlooking the River Fulda. Located in a tastefully converted warehouse it gives a sense of history. The room was large and comfortable with good facilities. Staff were warm and welcoming and we liked the access to refreshments available through the day at no additional cost. The hotel was maintained to a very high standard. It is ideally located to explore the town on foot or indeed the wider area. Breakfast was adequate and fairly standard. We reserved parking as there are limited places in the secure underground car park a little away from the hotel.

AustraliaAbsolutely delightful. The hotel is well situated in the old town. The room was absolutely delightful, clean spacious and well presented. The staff were excellent, informative and willing to assist. In fact they went out of their way to help. The breakfast spread was also brilliant, well presented with lots of options with everything being fresh inclusive of the free range eggs. We will definitely be going back should we be heading that way again. 5 star rating in my assessment.

SwitzerlandThe renovation of the area in front of the hotel is taking more time than originally planned. Although it was almost complete when we stayed there, the street in front of the hotel was still closed to car traffic. On the plus side, the hotel informed us about it in advance and explained us where to park. This problem should be solved when the construction work is complete at the end of August 2024.
The hotel is located right at the intersection of two rivers (Fulda & Werra). The riverbank in front of the hotel ("Bremer Schlagd") has just been renovated by the city and looks really nice. (More on that below.) The rooms were quite large and well furbished. The bed was the most comfortable I have seen in a hotel in a very long time :-) The breakfast buffet was pretty good.

JapanConstruction of the hotel gate is very slow. Be careful to walk. The hotel entrance also far to walk.
The parking place is far from the hotel and the hotel gate is construction now . Heavy items are difficult to bring in. Please enjoy your walking. It's nice to walk place.

CanadaNo fault of the hotel - there was construction outside and a fair across the river that created a fair bit of noise. I very much appreciated that the staff warned us about some planned fireworks during the fair too!
The rooms were wonderful - bright, clean, and comfortable. Despite being completely fully, the hotel itself was very quiet too. The breakfast had a few vegan options (which seems relatively rare still) and the staff went above and beyond to help us find parking while the street in front of the hotel was under construction.

GermanyThe personal, friendly service made all the difference. There are plenty of hotels to choose from. Touches such as down duvets in the room, uncomplicated transfer from one room to another, and the luxury of a sauna in the bedroom make this hotel stand out from others! Thank you Nicolas!

AustraliaBreakfast was a bit marginal. More fresh fruits and easier access to hot food is needed. It was more like a continental breakfast but you could ask for eggs but the process was a bit inconvenient. Wifi was good at times but very slow at others. Construction work currently being done on the riverbank but it is nearly completed and didn't distract significantly.
Big quiet room and very comfortable bed. Wonderful location and very lovely town. Very professional staff at all levels. Well maintained property and very functional bathroom. Loved the sound of the river outside our room at night.

GermanyThe shower in the bathtub is working but not state-of-the-art anymore. Breakfast starts at 07:00 am on weekdays (a little late for an early start). Temporary detached parking in public lots due to a construction zone right in front of the hotel.
Great location at the edge of historic Hann.-Muenden, a very charming town, very friendly staff even during late check-in after 11:00 pm, good equipped hotel rooms with everything you need, good beds, very clean and well maintained, 24h coffee and free water.
