Some staff at reception were not helpful and rather brash, air conditioning noisy and little effective Room had a linger of cigarette smoke when we first came

Breakfast cost was prohibitive unless you really like to eat a lot for breakfast .

Great location , great secure bicycle storage , with very pleasant reception staff . Elevator to upper floors . Room clean although furnishings dated . Very clean bathroom with toiletries . Close to multiple restaurants as well as market and other shoppes .

- Druggies outside in the park where we walked our dog - Tricky parking- if you had lots of luggage there is limited space on site - Reception staff member was fairly cold and unclear with certain instructions - Really overpriced for 1 night though the city is great

- It’s close to the centre - Good bathroom - Breakfast was good in a fancy dining room - Dog bowl and doggy bags provided for our golden retriever

Location perfectly placed for the railway station and very close to the sights of the “Old City”. Enjoyed the free tea and coffee lounge on the main level. Comfortable bed. Eco friendly property. Staff proficient in English and tolerant of my very limited German.

To enter the hotel it is necessary to drag your luggage up a staircase. I am very thin and had to carry my suitcase, so that i almost had an accident. Unacceptable for a 4 star hotel! The room was 9 sq m and contained a king size bed, so that moving arround was almost impossible.

The hotel location, only 7 minits walk from the railway station. I asked for and got a quiet room, facing a side street, although most of the rooms in this hotel face a busy street.

My adult daughter and I stayed in Room 208 for 3 nights. Upon arrival, we noticed that the area for showering was easily viewable from the bedroom area of the room. There wasn't a door that could be closed, just an open entrance to the shower area. We weren't pleased with that situation, but managed with it by hanging the other's bath towel over the glass shower door to obscure the view from the bedroom area or shower when the other person was not in the room (somewhat inconvenient). In any case, I mentioned this to the front desk, at checkout, and recommended a simple hanging curtain on a bar in the entry way for the shower area to conceal it from the bedroom area. For two adults traveling together (unmarried), this can be a possible issue, but there is a simple resolution by the hotel management (bar and sliding curtain) too! I can't speak for every room in this case, but the room we stayed in. Also, be aware if you have a lot of heavy suitcases (we had 4 large suitcases plus backpacks), there are many steps outside and inside the hotel entrance way to get up to the check-in desk area. At check-in we were told there is another entrance behind the building at the parking garage entrance level with an available elevator to all floors; good point if I knew that ahead of time and had access to it with an electronic key card (which we used when leaving for our train ride to the airport)!

The location was within 2 blocks walking from the Freiburg train station, but a bit of a pain with the cobble stone sidewalks and 4 pieces of luggage if you walk. Large room and a separate toilet area (with a door) and a second (very small) sink. Also a separate sink and shower area (with no privacy). The lounge area was comfortable to use and the eating area looked nice, but we ate out each morning at different places in town.

Extra bed could have been more comfortable

The hotel is very clean, the parking lot is very kind :) the room is comfortable and it was clean. The breakfast was also sufficient. The location is very good, there is a market near the park opposite, you can walk to the center in 5 minutes. We liked the hotel and the hospitality very much. we thank you.

The hotel was very warm and though the rooms are okay and clean I've seen better and more quality for that price (but also worse tbh)
