The staff were 50/50. Some very polite and friendly some made you feel like they were doing you a favour. Although a 4 star it’s quite tired (at least our room was in the main building). The bed was too soft for my liking which gave me back pain and the room at the top floor was very dark as the roof canopy blocks most of the window to let any light in.

We stayed for 3 nights. The hotel is at a great location deep in the forest and has a historical reputation which makes it very appealing. Some lovely short walks around with Beautiful views. Food at the restaurant tasted good, good selection at the breakfast buffet. Free plenty parking available

No bar to gather for a drink! Only in restaurant. Parking facilities for motorcycles quite poor,with so much space available better parking for bike could easily be achieved with a little investment.

Restaurant is pretty expensive for Germany, food is ok, all homemade!

Air conditioner didn’t work (didn’t cool)and opening the window was useful to get cooled air, but bugs and compost smell come in with the wind. Plus, 2/4 beds were uncomfortable.

Staff was excellent and very helpful. Location was good and easy to get to near by towns. Breakfast was great. Quiet place and nice environment.

On arrival it seemed that the rooms were not given a proper/thorough clean as there were remnants of the previous guests. I was not very amused by the silverfish that were lurking behind the skirting and coming out when the room got darker.

We went there for Christmas Market, but it was only opened on weekends and there were no information about it. If you would like to go there for christmas market, you should go there on weekends. The room was little bit cold and I got sick after staying there.

Personnels were really helpful and welcoming. The room was really clean and the prices were average.

We came by train, or at least we tried to. The hotel is too far away from the nearest station to walk, so we had to get a taxi. The taxi came from the other side of Titisee which negated our attempt to be environmentally and not come by car. We had to wait a very long time for a taxi back. Considering the size of the hotel, perhaps a courtesy vehicle to and from the station would be apt?

Everything was fine except for the accessibility by train.
