I would have liked a coffee maker or water kettle to brew tea. And sauna costs extra.

Room is spacey and clean. The hotel is so quiet that I thought I am the only guest. And the next door spa is great.

The staff was super nice. It was clean, the breakfast was great. The night bar was cosy, you could play fun games while having a drink. It was well connected to the centre of Konstanz. I can only recommend it.

Very stylish decoration. Reception staff were friendly. Not in the city centre but only a short bus ride to historic centre and the hotel provided a free public transport pass to use. Rooms were large and had good facilities including Nespresso machine. We only stayed one night so were not able to use all facilities such as the bar and restaurant.

Well where to start. The hotel was exceptional from very friendly and very helpful staff to very clean facilities. A quirky hotel, parking facilities at a low cost and handy by bus to get right into the centre of Konstanz. The breakfast was amazing best we had in our travels even though all the other breakfasts were nice.

The top-floor rooms have a balcony running around the building, but they are not accessible (unless you climb out a window). I would have liked to have tended the window boxes there. (Large plants in huge pots are doing quite well and helping to block access; the flower boxes seem to have missed out on nurturing care this year -- but there are perennials like lavender that are holding their own and could thrive with a little love.) Note that I'm a Master Gardener....so this is a very modest "could improve" that is unlikely to matter to others. Although the area is "Industriegebeit," it seems to be an up & coming area for hotels and we felt perfectly safe & happy here. So this location makes a great base, but you may want to hop on a bus or drive to reach preferred restaurants and cultural sites.

Wonderfully welcoming staff -- especially Monte. :-) The breakfast was outstanding -- it took me four days to sample (almost...) everything. The location, in combination with the Bodensee West card included, works very well for going in & out of Konstanz (about a 12 minute bus ride; bus stop is about 3-4 blocks away). The hotel provides a well-thought out and documented booklet that includes a map and schedules for catching the nearby buses. If you bring a car, you can also hop onto the main road to Richenau, Allensbach and Radzofell easily -- route 33 is just a block away, Parking is relatively inexpensive: $6/night in the hotel's above-ground parking lot. It is possible to find street parking (for free) nearby -- but not guaranteed. We were in a top-floor corner room -- so we enjoyed lots of light and lovely sunsets and this probably reduced the occasional street noise. The room we stayed in had excellent storage space for travelers (in addition to the wardrobe, there were cubbyholes on two walls behind the curtains, a bench inside the door and a place where we could hang bags/purses. The staff conversed readily and graciously in English. The dining area and terrace convert nicely into a relaxing bar/beer garden at night. We weren't able to sample the restaurant for an evening meal since it was closed the week we were there (and about to open up again...so this might just be something to ask about if you want to be able to eat dinner in your hotel).

The smoking area is in front of the door/hotel. Rooms which are above the entrance get all the smoke when the window is open. It would be nice to have a smoking area further away from the hotel/windows.

Cleaning can improve. There were a lot of spiders inside the room and at the hallways.

Attention and service given by the personal was very good. Friendly. Recommendation guide with main attractions and eating recommendations is a plus.

The staff at the Aqua hotel were the friendliest I’ve ever encountered- it honestly felt as if you were a guest in their home!! Nothing was too much trouble for them, a wonderful team who all worked hard to make sure that my stay was memorable. Location was convenient for the local buses into the city or travelling further afield. I was provided with an excellent guide for the area and lots of recommendations too: The breakfast was amazing, plenty of choice for all dietary tastes and appetites. Certainly sets you up for a busy day ahead!

The location is far from the centre on foot, but bus stop is very close. It takes only 6-8 mins by car.

The room was perfect. Big space, nice decoration, comfortable bed, good quality of furnitures… Also bathroom was big and very clean. We paid extra for breakfast after seeing the their service. There were many choices (even gluten free bread) and everything was delicious. The staff were very helpful and very attentive.
