The room was clean but only the important and visible parts. Saw some cobwebs in the lamp and dust on the cupboard. The facilities were a bit scarce in the room, e.g. found only one wall socket.

The location is excellent, 5 minutes from the harbour and 10 Minutes from the city center, walking distance. The place is cosy. The bed was very comfortable and WiFi worked well. Even if there is a noisy street close by, if you close the window it does not bother at all.

The rooms were a bit small and the pillows, which was not just this hotel, were not worth using as we used to better pillows. It was expensive for the facilities. Breakfast was nice but a little expensive for 15 euros each per day. No kettle I’m room which would have been welcome.

It was local to the harbour area which had good restaurants. It was also In walking distance to Rostock town which we visited the staff were very friendly and helpful. Parking also cost extra.

No fault of Hotel Altes Hafenhaus...the comfort of the room was fine but not FABULOUS because it was very small which I knew when booking and the man who welcomed me also said it was the smallest room. As I was there basically for a shower and to sleep, it was perfect because I LOVED the view and being in such an old, beautiful property.

I had a wonderful view of the waterfront and the proximity to the center of the city with its historic buildings was perfect.

A wonderful old house with its own feeling. We had a nice chat with the man in the reception during our breafast (which was very tasty and fresh). After seeing the Marienkirch with it’s astronomical clock we left Rostock with a lovely mind.

The breakfast was a turn off for vegetarians. No buffet, they just bring you a selection of stuff, far too much food for me and all of it containing animal products. so it was thrown away. A few minutes walk away in the Neuer Markt, is a great place for daily breakfast buffet with far more choice and less expensive I think.

Cosy, little hotel, beautiful building and warm, comfortable furnishings. Great location, just a few minutes walk from Neuer Markt (city centre). Key code to check in outside of hours worked fine. Single room was tiny but really sweet and comfy with view of the river. Staff were helpful and friendly.

The main road between the hotel and the harbour was a bit noisy at times when the windows were open. But this was not a huge issue!

The staff were really friendly and helpful . The location was very central and also just across the harbour. The room was lovely with a historic feel of the building's past..it was good value for money including the breakfast. A great base for exploring this interesting town. We loved it.

Too costly for a family room. There was no elevator.! Had to carry the heavy suitcases three floor up.
