Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsUnfortunately the rooms had silverfishes. Silverfishes don't bite you, but can carry bacteria and mold. I told this to the staff and they were very sorry and gave me some bug spray. The bug spray helped kill off the silverfishes. Fortunately, this bug spray did not smell bad and afterwards did not see the bugs anymore.
The staff was kind. They were quick on their feet to serve you. The room had all the basics one require. I loved the fact there were Nespresso machines with cups. The cups were refilled every day. The cleaned the beds everyday.

United KingdomRequested a queen bed when selecting the room, as it showed I had the option to choose bed set-up, though the room had two twin beds pushed together.
Comfortable beds, large room with plenty of storage space, mini fridge and safe. Location was great as we were driving, so avoided LEZ zones and had free parking on site including secure underground parking. Hotel was easy to find. Free WiFi, short walk to multiple shops and short walk to train station. All rooms had balconies too so was nice to sit outside in the evenings.

AustriaI'm not the biggest fan of carpet flooring and it didn't feel super clean (even though it was but that's just the feeling you get from old carpet floors. Apart from that we had everything we needed.
The bed was extremely comfortable and we slept super well! The room was large in size and clean. The breakfast for 10 Euros was a great price and the staff was really friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again. Public transport connection to the city centre is also good if you're not returning to the hotel too late.

SwitzerlandThe only aspect I didn't appreciate was the neighborhood and the location. For visitors relying on public transportation, the only option available is bus.I personally did not like the neighborhood because it's heavily populated and buses are usually packed. You can certainly stay in parks or nearby forests, still, it was just too densely populated..
I felt right at home and at ease staying here. It's safe to say that this is definitely one of the best stay I've had in Germany over a span of four months. I enjoyed every single bit of the stay, from genuine and welcoming staff to nice layout of the room, lovely balcony and great amenities and facilities overall. Great breakfast though the breakfast room can be crowded during peak hours.

United KingdomThey didn't seem to have a couple of beds, instead, they joined two single beds, which was not ideal.
When I entered Acora Hotel, I was greeted with warm smiles and a genuinely welcoming atmosphere. The check-in process was seamless, thanks to your efficient and friendly staff who swiftly accommodated my needs. Their professionalism and attentiveness throughout my stay were genuinely commendable. The room was clean and attention to detail was impeccable. The well-appointed furnishings and tasteful decor provided a sense of comfort. The bed was comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep after a long day exploring the city.

CanadaThere was nothing really that we didn't like. The only suggestion would be to include a few options for travelers to charge their phones and other devices.
The rooms were quiet, clean and well stocked for our stay. The beds were fairly comfortable and each room had a fridge, coffee and tea. All in all, it was a lovely place to stay for a night. There were a few restaurants within walking distance as well.

Netherlandsthe facilities in the room were few, for instance there were no slippers, no toothbrush, etc. The location is a bit far from city center, however can be reached by bus which has a station just near the hotel.
Clean room, clean bathroom, friendly staff, free parking lot were the good points about the hotel. Wifi was ok.

GermanySome minor things: - I would have liked a small magnifying mirror in the bathroom (for trimming my beard). But there's a Rossmann nearby so I found one easily. - A nearby restaurant was missing (maybe there's one? I couldn't find it.). But upon my arrival I was greeted with homemade sandwiches and pudding at the reception. Ahmad must have understood how hungry I was from 10 hrs travel.
Many things, including but not limited to: - Great location, near to the city centre with good s bahn and bus connection, yet quite enough to relax - Penny, Rossmann and Rewe are close by - Staff was very friendly and helpful - room, bathroom, inside and around the hotel clean and hygienic - Extra pillow was already in room which I would have requested otherwise - good WiFi signal in and around the hotel, also in my room - spacious room with balcony (mine had actually two) - kettle with teabags in room, great for me as a tea lover I am planning to visit Düsseldorf again in a month or two and Acora is definitely going to be my choice.
