very noisy, lots of young people who were running up and down the halls at night and slamming doors washing and drying was expensive approx €5.20 for each. Underbed lockers are large cages, you must bring your own lock, however small bags can still easily be grabbed through the bars even when locked

rooms were very clean, toilet and shower en-suite. body wash and soap included in bathrooms. chargers and night lights at each bed. kitchen was very spacious, large dining table, one fridge, two hobs, microwaves and a kettle. Plates, Pans and utensils all supplied by the hostel. 3x washing machines and dryers. large common room with entertainment on the Friday night, vending machines, atm and a bar free luggage storage and 2 lockers in the bar area. Good location, lots of bars and restaurants nearby. supermarkets 10 minute walk away and cologne cathedral/central station about 20/25 minute walk away

We forgot my Son's Teddy bear. We were in room 528.

The place is really nice and close to transport and shops/cafes. Breakfast was good and there was an opportunity to leave the baggage for free after checkout

A lot of high schoolers were running around, shutting doors, and screaming. We talked to staff and they addressed the situation and the problem stopped.

The administration might assign you a bed in a four-bed room, but you may find that the bed is already occupied. This happened to me twice, and I had to inform the administration each time. It was quite odd—hopefully, they will check in advance in the future.

All the furniture seems to be new and the rooms are clean. The personal stuff was nice helpful:)

This hostel was used as a school trip accommodation when I stayed. I heard some noise of teenagers at night.

The only lockers are the metal "baskets" under the bed that have big holes, so not very reliable, no closet kind of lockers or storage. The top bunk is quite low, so you cannot sit up on the lower bunk. I also accidentally banged my head on the top bunk while sitting down because I didn't take it into account. You have to put on the linen yourself. The sheet had holes in it.

It's a nice neighborhood, the hostel is quiet and clean.

There was no water for shower last two mornings, they mentioned technical issues but this was a terrible issue as guests.

The food and drink offer maybe was a little too scarse, but the staff were very nice.

The room had little people to share the facilities with. It was clean, was equiped with a toilet inside and overall the place was pretty confy. The place was well located, near the city center and very close to the concert venue.

It was a decent hostel with a nice reception. It was a nice touch to have shampoo and shower available. Nothing much to say except that it was decent.

The door of the shower room was a bit wet when we arrived. The location was not too bad, but for those who carry heavy luggage, having to take a crowded underground tram from Hbf and then walk for 8 min is I think a bit tough.

Overall it was exceptional for its price! The beds were clean, the room was big enough for two people and the staff were very nice to us. There were a small table and some chairs placed next to the beds which we felt were very useful to share some snacks and drinks together on.

Unfortunately I am basing my review off of a comparison between this and a&o Stuttgart City. That is why I have to give it a lower score. The price is a bit higher than in Stuttgart and it's further away from public transport. Those two things don't mean much on their own, but also the bed and blanket were stained, and I also received (and had to exchange) dirty sheets twice.

The price was very affordable. Overall, it's definitely an option to consider for budget reasons, if you can look past the small problems.

The staff clean rooms every day, even if it is a private room and you booked several nights. Didn’t expect this.

Lots of renovation was being done starting from very early in the morning. Felt a little hotel like rather than a hostel.

Comfortable hostel in a decent location, walking distance to everywhere in Cologne.
