“The hotel was located between Gernsbach Bahnhof and Gersbach Mitte stations, both served by an hourly service from Karlsruhe through Gernsbach and up the Murg valley to Freudenstadt. The local bus services were also frequent - for example, there was a half-hourly service to Baden-Baden. The location was quiet, partly due to the main road through the town having been put in a tunnel a number of years ago. My room was one of the largest singles I've had - indeed, it was larger than my living room at home! The buffet breakfast was very good.”
