Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

TurkeyIt wasn’t a problem for me but if you are sensitive for voices, tram sound may be uncomfortable for you
It was really close to the public transport and market. So our breakfast was always from the market and it was cheap. In 50 steps you can reach the tram station. Also there is nice coffee shop right in there. Room was big, also have mini fridge. First coffee or tea of the day was free so it was very easy to wake up in the morning.

GibraltarHousekeeping wasn’t great. Patchy wi-fi. Bizarrely, I stayed 6 nights but was told that I was only entitled to the same number of coffee pods (2) as someone staying 1 night. Beggars belief.
Good location near tram stop and supermarket, although not good for restaurants. Value for money. Spacious room. Overall comfortable.

UkraineIn the bathroom there is no space for your stuff - no hangers for clothes, no room for cosmetics or whatever. The towels hanger is too small for 2 people. Only one chair in the room - so the second person either seats on the bed, or on the floor. If you open the balcony door it is noisy because of the busy road by the hotel. Right after we checked in and entered the room a stuff person knocked and came in without waiting for any answer or reaction - it was some kind of misunderstanding with cleaning of the rooms - I understand it can happen, but shouldn't they wait at least for a moment?
The location is good - you can get to the center by tram or walking along the river. The room was nice and clean. Iliked the bathroom walls.

NetherlandsUnfortunately the WiFi barely worked (60kbps when I ran a SpeedTest), so if you're dependant on it for work, or something, I'd recommend finding another place. Also the trams outside are very frequent, and very noisy, so if that's something that bothers you it can be an issue. Luckily the windows are well insulated so when you close them it's not bad at all!
The place was really nice, comfortable beds, the staff is very friendly, and it was very nicely kept. The hotel is very affordable and in a relatively good spot! The walk to Prague Castle is about an hour, but there's a tram stop right outside if you want to take that.

United KingdomAlthough I enjoyed a long walk to the Old Town during my stay it was exactly that, a long walk. Make sure to have an Uber or bolt account if you want to see the major sights because it's a little out of the way.
Hotel was more than adequate - comfy beds (although I was expecting a double bed, I got a single), and friendly staff. Price was more than reasonable for the location

Great location. On the 4th floor, big room, lot of light. The room was not noisy even though trains and trams pass in the area. The furniture looks old-fashioned, but we didn't mind at all as long as it was clean. The staff was truely nice.
