To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

It’s excellent location and exceptionally friendly reception staff. The history and architecture and decor of this hotel is an experience of its own. Beautifully designed and decorated.

United KingdomPossibly a tea/coffee machine in the room as the coffee machine in reception often ran out. The British do love a cuppa in the morning 😉
Staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast had everything you could want Lounge was comfortable and reminiscent of a gentleman's club. You could take your breakfast in there if the dining room was full. Loved the quietly piped music. Liked the quirky decor. Loved staying there. Pillows were awesome 👍 Loved the balcony on our room. Great place to sit and people watch. The hotel limos were a lovely start to the holl and worth the money.

United KingdomOn Arrival, we were told that our booked room was unavailable due to the previous guest flooding the room. As a result, we were given a very small room instead as the hotel was full. The management applied a discount to compensate for this issue.
The hotel is really well located, very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was plentiful with lots of choices. We loved the style and decoration. Very comfy bed too!

MonacoBreakfast area (which is a bar during the evenings and nights) can get quite crowded at times, breakfast itself was good, though. If it is crowded, one can move to the salon just down the hall, though.
Charming place very close to downtown. Very nice and helpful concierge during the day time (young, glasses; sorry, we don`t have a name). Room was clean and comfortable, everything worked ;-)

The hotel was a convenient walk from the central attractions of the city. Breakfast was plentiful and well prepared. The staff were exceptional. I would return to this hotel without hesitation.

CanadaWe didn’t rate it a full 10 because, being an older building, the rooms are not soundproof. We could hear coughing and movement in the room beside us. (Though the other guests all seemed quiet and respectful people.)
The hotel had historic character, rooms very comfortable with great beds, good breakfast, helpful and enthusiastic management and staff, especially Patrick and Sofien who gave us good advice on seeing the city.
