The pension was next to Baterie tram stop. Trams 1 and 2 to Praha centre in 20 mins. The receptionist was helpful and friendly room was on 2nd floor. Clean and tidy room. There is a light in the room and couldn't find a switch then realised its on motion sensor. I would use again

The room was really clean, beds were good and parking was just what we needed. Our host was very welcoming and friendly. Tram station was 50m away, and trams go regularly which was great.

Did not try the breakfast, but I did use the kitchen for a while and I can say that it was enough! The host was great and the location of the pension was good, the bus station to the city was across the location so that's a big plus! I recommend the pension, would stay here in the future for sure if I have the chance!

What we liked: Everything. Personable, friendly, comfortable, surprisingly quiet for being right on the tram line (what a convenience). Great breakfast. Our hosts were so nice and generous with advice, parking, arranging our visit and so forth. It's why we keep coming back to them.

The Pension has a great location. The tramway station is right in front of pension and you can get fast to city center and back. (public transport is best option in Prague). On the other hand if you want to use the car is not so easy, parking door is always closed and sometimes is overcrowded and you have to announce in advance that you need to get out. Staff is friendly, room clean.

The room’s description on this site stated there would be a kettle in the room, but it was in the common area instead, not really a big deal.

Penzion Chaloupka is located in a beautiful residential area perfect for quiet evening strolls. The city center is in a 15 minutes tram ride, and the tram stop is right in front of the penzion. The nearest grocery shop is 2 tram stops away. If you are okay with a bit of hiking, you can reach Old Royal Palace and St. Vitus Cathedral on foot in 40 minutes. There’s also a beautiful Džbán lake relatively near - it takes a 15 minutes walk and a couple tram stops to get there. Our room was spacious, tidy and colorful, not a standard ikea-ish blank design. It felt cosy like if we were staying at someone’s house and not in the hotel. The bed was comfortable, with huge soft pillows. The staff was friendly and ready to answer all our questions about staying in the hotel and getting around Prague. There’s a nice common area perfect for having a meal with some drinks and snacks you can buy.

We were a group of 4 cyclists and had the top apartment with a terrace to see the sunset with a beer. Bikes and car could be parked safely. Tramstop in front of the pension, ideal for visiting Prague centre. Friendly hosts.

The cutlery and crockery in the apartment was the bare minimum. The advertised laudry service was not avaiable as they were busy that weekend, but we were allowed to use the washing machine ourselves for the same price.

The location is not central but that makes it a lot more peaceful and the No.2 tram which stops very near the front door takes you to the centre in a few minutes and goes nearby many of the attractions. And it's free for over 65's! We had the apartment which is generously sized.

The location was good for me as close to the speedway track and number 2 tram right outside handy for both getting to the track and city centre. The staff were very friendly and helpful with an excellent restaurant recommendation. The room was both a decent size and very clean.
