Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PolandUnfortunately, even if you have an account in Euro and have a payment or debit card in Euro, your payment will be higher than the price shown on Booking.com, because the hotel does not have a bank account in Euro, so each payment is converted to Czech crowns, which results in that the price is higher than the one given in Euro in the reservation. If you want to be guaranteed that the reservation price will not be higher at the time of payment, the only solution is to pay the price stated in Euro only in cash.
The hotel is located in a restored tenement house and has been very carefully renovated in terms of interior. The rooms and bathrooms are very spacious. Double-window windows (so-called casement windows) perfectly suppress noise from outside. Thanks to them and the thick walls of the tenement house, the temperature in the apartments is not too high, even in hot weather. The apartment has a kitchenette with a dishwasher and a cooking plate. A very comfortable double King Size bed and multi-point lighting in the room. The rooms have wooden floors, while the corridors are lined with thick, soundproof carpets. A bathroom sparkling clean and new, made of good quality sanitary materials and with an elegant design The apartment, as well as the elevator, staircase and corridors are impeccably clean and everything still smells new. Access to rooms via magnetic card. 24/7 reception with staff who speak good English. Without asking, I received an invoice directly after making the payment :-)

BrazilThe room I stayed had some small windows in the ceiling and a long stick to close the blinds, but turns out it's quite hard to handle it, because of this the blinds don't close appropriately. So, early in the morning, like 4am, the sun is brightening right above your head and eyes. It's kind uncomfortable with don't like to sleep in a full bright light.

United StatesChairs in the unit could have been better and a microwave (not promised) would have been a huge plus.
The hotel is an easy walk from the main train station and right next to the old city. Some great restaurants nearby.

GermanyNo air conditioner, so hotter summer time may be unpleasant. Almost top floor room, so the room got hot very easily. No mosquito net on the window so sleeping with open window is subject to buggy visitors. Nightclub opposite side of the road, with clearly audible dance music at least till 3am. Could use some hooks to hang up towels and jackets, as you don't always want to put them into the closet. Very minimal shelf next to the bed, quite compared to the bed's level, hard to use for storing stuff like tissues or a glass of water. Overall: would book again as these issues are not a deal breaker, just good to know and have to be planned with.
Good location, close to the train station, metro, tram, and on the edge of the inner city. Small kitchen part sufficient for 2 person having basic utilities to have breakfast and morning coffee (microwave, water boiler, fridge, dishes, etc). Good comfortable bed. Sizable room with plenty of space, chair, tables.

Israel* Cleaning - Only towels were replaced during our 6 days stay. As it is fit for a 4-star hotel, bedsheet should have been replaced a couple of times during our stay. * No AC. Luckily for us, we had the perfect weather during April, so it did not bother much. But during summer times, it probably will be hot and you dont have any cooling unit.
The staff at the reception was very nice and welcoming. The location of the hotel is great, you are dead in the center of the city, around all the shopping area and just next to the Mustek Metro station. The hotel itself is nice and tidy, we had the room that faced the busy and noisy street. However, when closing the windows, there was no noise and all was well. Did not try the breakfast, no comment for it. Although, for what they charge per person, you can have any type of breakfast you want just 5 min walk in any direction you will hit a Cafe.
