Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomVery authentic and cute stay, a repurposed and rebuilt stable complex in a very authentic part of Prygos! The apartment and apartment grounds were extremely clean and the pool was such a nice place to relax after a big day in the sun. Highly recommend!

United KingdomThere isn't anything that we didn't like about Meleni Cottages. It is possibly a little tired in places but that did not detract from the charm and beauty of the place.
The apartment was delightful and the garden was an absolute haven- shade with plenty of sunny corners and a lovely pool area. The village is large enough to have plenty of choice of restaurants and there are several supermarkets. Eleni and Petros were fantastic hosts, very welcoming and kind and helpful. Eleni's breakfast was excellent as was her legendary Mousakka. definitely recommend having both at least once during your stay.

LithuaniaAir conditioning is an extra charge.
Great place for family holidays if you have a car. Clean and nice swimming pool, big apartments, nice garden to have breakfast or dinner. Nearby is a nice taverna, where you can try local meze. Food is good, but for 10 people 5 meze is enough :)

The pool is great with nice surroundings. The whole cottage ensamble is very pleasant with a fantastic, aromatic garden. Breakfast and in particular dinner we ordered from Meleni are exceptional.

GermanyThe kitchen could be a little more equipped and it would be nice if there were some basics like olive oil and maybe spices because it is always a waste to buy those for short stays. This is more of a suggestion though and not a real problem.
The apartment is located in a small and very calm Cypriot village that is 5 mins from the beach and approximately 15-20 mins from Limassol by car. Therefore, you get to enjoy the quiet village life while being close to touristic sites/ activities. The owners (=staff) are extraordinarily friendly and helpful with any matters. The pool is beautiful and invites guests to relax on lazy vacation days. Since there are few rooms in total, the facilities are never overcrowded and it feels very private. All in all, we had a very relaxing and pleasant stay at the Guesthouse and would definitely recommend it to anyone!

United KingdomHonestly there’s nothing I had a problem with.
Absolutely unbelievable. Located in a peaceful village. The hosts are just amazing and welcoming. Our kids loved the pool which we had to ourselves most of the time as we went during a quiet period. Local restaurants in the village and the locals are so friendly.

HungaryYes we had some issues but I think it's more up to us hence we usually choose "modern" accomodations. But if anyone else has more routine with traditional places, will get along with it well. The kitchen should be better equipped for sure. There was hot water only in the shower. There are some electric plugs out from the wall, two lamps had electric-contact issues. Ok, this is not a drama, actually we didn't like mainly two things: one is that all the rooms are quite dark in the morning, there is not enough healthy light to start your good day. Unfortunately the photos here don't show this, they are also mixed so you can't really see where you will get to finally. The second problem is the noise. We got the ground floor rooms and the top is a traditional ceiling made from wood. Therefore you are constantly disturbed by all the movements coming from the upstairs neighbours. All movements... and some voices. Okay you can say let's find it rather as an inspiration, but we had our children with so I was worried quite well you can imagine. Unfortunately we couldn't really rest. Again, I think this accomodation suits best to those, who arrive for longer time, who buy in the supermarket all what needed, and who enjoy many time at the pool, reading, wine, chill out. But if you are similar to us - we drive away every day to discover all the world and we only need an accomodation for evening-night that provides the same comfort like our modern home - than it's not for you.
We arrived in the dark, a bit late, but Eleni was very flexible, kind and helpful so we still got a full dinner in the closest taverna. For next breakfast she served big amounts of different meals, more than what you'd expect. The yard, the pool, the house is nice and kind of a traditional-romantic feeling. We liked the cats as well, like all around Cyprus. But here there was a special orange-brown tiger style cat that my little daughter wanted to take home. Since that she is missing her "Tigru" :) The area is nice and I think safe as well. Limassol ca. 20 minutes by car.

GermanyA complete scam and a fraudulent listing on booking I wouldn’t even stay there for free with the knowledge I have got now there were holes in the walls by plug sockets which is incredibly dangerous and the oven extractor fan was not working due to the wires hanging out and live which again is a serious health and safety hazard some of the windows were broken and would not lock and the front door had a gap at the top when locked which is also makes you feel unsafe. The pictures you see online are of one particular suite which has been done to a fair standard but that is only one of the rooms there and they love used it to try and make out like the whole facility meets that standard which it clearly does not. If you still book this place after reading this review then don’t be surprised when you find this all out for yourselves I’m doing my part by putting this clear warning out there overlook this at your own peril. This place should be closed down and if I had my way not allowed to ever reopen based on how bad they’ve allowed it to be in the first place. An absolutely appalling facility with some of the nastiest and rudest staff I’ve ever come across refusing to issue any sort of refund even though we had booked a month and had to leave after one night because it was unlovable and dangerous they also forcefully insist that you pay €4 a day per air con unit even if you don’t use all the units they charge you for them all even in bedrooms that you won’t use when there is clearly only one couple who sleep together. They have ruined my honeymoon these foul people I can only hope no one else books this place and gets scammed and has their money effectively stolen from them. This is an abomination of a so called hotel. There was unfortunately absolutely nothing that could be liked about this accommodation or indeed the unscrupulous immoral people who own and run the facility. The Potamidous are a terrible family to have the misfortune of having to interact and deal with.
