The apartment can be put up to date and fix the little things the time and use have damaged.

There was quite a bit of construction while we were there which made work difficult some days. The bass from the music in the restaurant below was intrusive sometimes (but luckily they are only open from lunch to 8pm). The control buttons on the stove don't work well, which made cooking difficult. The hot water in the shower only worked sometimes. There was no table or desk inside the room, so we needed to keep moving the patio table inside and out, which was not optimal. The stay experience would have been improved if there was a table or desk also inside the room since there is more than enough space, some curtains on the glass wall to block out light if needed, and a propane BBQ for use on the property.

The apartment was spacious and clean. The wifi worked well and the ocean view was great. Fantastic location -- a 1-3 min walk to two beaches (one is the best for sea turtles). The staff was helpful. We love this area of the island and would come back again.

The immediate area has 2 main restaurants both of which serve good food but do close relatively early (on one evening the larger one at 18.50 hours) , it was normal that after 9pm both would be shut. Apart from one small supermarket (again rarely open) the nearest larger supermarket is approx 20km away so having a car is essential to visit this and other beaches/sites. No oven in the apartment so if self catering limited to what you can cook using the hob.

The westpunt area is fairly remote but has 2 good beaches within a few minutes walk, Turtle Beach ( get there early in the morning before it gets too crowded if you want to swim with the turtles) and Playa Forti where ypu can watch (or join) the people jumping from the restuarant into the sea below. Close to the National Park but car essential to enjoy the area.

You do need a car to get to this place and also to see the surrounding area. Grote Knip is definitely worth a visit but you need a vehicle to reach it. Cars were hard to get so we should have prebooked (we were offered a car for US$35 per day and we should have taken it). Managed to get a car sorted last minute but had to pay more.

Fabulous place, what a view! Could hear the sea at night. Lovely little beach below us with easy access via the stairs and then 2 minutes walk down the road to swim with the turtles. Never seen so many turtles and so close. Amazing experience.

The upstairs rooms might have a better view, but they have been squeezed into a descending roofline. The outdoor patios are oddly cramped and you have to stoop over to move through them. The roof comes down over your head and cuts off the view. The southernmost room, which I stayed in, has the lower part of the view ALSO blocked off - from the rain awning for the Blue View restaurant below - resulting in a narrow view middle band looking out to the beautiful view. It was not a relaxing or comfortable outdoor patio/balcony - felt cramped and unable to appreciate the amazing view - which is the entire reason you are staying here! Priced accordingly? Steep wooden steps to enter the apartment - they crammed 4 apartments into building space that was really only suited for 2 apartments. No beach chairs or supplies provided.

Amazing location and incredible view. Westpunt is the sleepy, safe, and excellent sunset view part of Curacao. Blue View Apartments are directly above Playa Forti beach, with amazing clear blue water and snorkeling, especially near the rocks to the north end of the beach as you approach Playa Piskado. Room had great A/C, good size fridge, electric cooktop, and equipped with kitchen needs. Spacious. Upgraded bathroom and rainfall showerhead. Rancho El Sobrino front desk very helpful with extra beach towels and sunscreen, as well as suggesting and helping to book excursions. WiFi speed was the best yet experienced in all of the Caribbean islands - over 100 Mbps!

The cleanliness of the room upon check-in could have been better. The apartment look better on the photos than in reality. You have to be prepared for a leaking air conditioner, a stream of water spurting into the wall in the shower and the daily drain of sewage at 9:00 pm (which gives a terrible smell) from the cafe downstairs.

Great location, amazing view from the window, attention of the owners. After booking an apartment, we were immediately offered to rent a car and advised a dive center, which was very helpful. The view from this room compensates for most of its shortcomings, but unfortunately not all.

We would like to just recommend a little bit more kitchen equipments for cooking.

The view from apartment was amazing. You can watch turtles from balcony and thats great. Also restaurants nearby are really worth to visit. Service from the owner is also great and you can count on with if you need anything.

The communication style of the owner is not very friendly and they were not flexible but mostly interested in our cash. The bathroom smelled of urine, there was mold everywhere and it was infested by ants. The towels smelled of mold and the pillows of head fat. The kitchen is quite rundown and the electric plugs have clear signs of overheating. The kitchenware was very dirty. The photos on booking aren't recent.

The view over the sea was very appreciated.

Blue View is an INCREDIBLE place. The view is breathtaking, we saw turtles throughout the day. The apartment was super clean, and super well equipped, it has everything you need. The bed is wonderful, very comfortable. The air conditioning is super powerful and silent. The place is very quiet and peaceful, we only heard the noise of the sea. The location is super familiar and safe. We were very well received and attended, everyone was very friendly and attentive. The Forti beach that is just below is one of the most beautiful and is next to the most beautiful in Curacao, you can walk or swim to Playa Piskado, which is where you can swim with the turtles and watch a fisherman show. place that feeds the turtles and for 5 dollars you can have more than 10 turtles swimming around you. If you're at Blue View on a Sunday, don't miss the BBQ that is made below. We had it on a day when a tropical storm would pass and, due to extra care and affection, we were transferred to a place a few meters further from the sea, because we were a little scared. We stayed one night at Rancho El Sobrino, which is owned by the same owner, it is also an incredible place, with a wonderful pool, super comfortable and spacious, an unmissable place too. Both places are close to the most beautiful beaches in Curacao. We will definitely be back! Both BlueView and Rancho el Sobrino have attached restaurants that were always very busy and seemed to be great.
