Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomIt was very good value for money. The host was AMAZING, she spoke perfect English, helped book taxis, book tours and did our laundry when requested in under 12 hours. The site is well kept and the room was sparkling. It was next to a supermarket, the best burger van and only a 20 min walk into the main town. Absolutely nothing bad to report! United KingdomWe reserved breakfast for the 1st morning. Nobody informed us in the previous night that the kitchen closed at 9am. Then on the day, a WhatsApp was sent at 8:30am informing about the kitchen closing time, but we only saw it at 9am. We arrived at the breakfast area at 9:05 and they mentioned the kitchen was closed and the breakfast couldn’t be served anymore. That’s a shame as we expected a bit more flexibility.
The room was very clean. Also, when we arrived, Pablo (staff) was super friendly and helpful with all kinds of information (paid tours, free walks, places to eat, etc). 5 stars to his professionalism.

United KingdomOur room wasn't cleaned or tidied the whole 3 nights we were there which would have been nice (particularly emptying the bathroom bin to avoid bugs). The accomodation is a 20 minute walk into town which usg we didn't mind but it was difficult on very rainy days.
The lady in reception was extremely helpful with booking tours. The kitchen was clean and the free coffee in the morning was a lovely touch.

SpainHardly slept due to the strong winds as we was on the top floor and at the end but this is common in Monteverde, just bring some earplugs! Location is a bit out of the way from the main town however not far from a great sunset spot just down the road.
Was a good value for money, cheap stay and was comfortable enough with plenty of beds inside the room! The communal kitchen was well equipped and really big. Staff was also very helpful & friendly. There’s a big supermarket just 5 mins down the road & amazing burger food truck with good prices called La Ventanita De Mendez - highly recommend!
