There wasn't much to do right outside the hotel unless you get a ride to Coco Beach.

Love the accomodations and the staff was excellent. Very friendly and courteous. Our room was a little walk from the main common areas but one call and a shuttle is right there.

The property has two pool areas that are great to relax by as well as access to the beach. Also the food was delicious. I also loved how much wildlife was on the property

We found that the food was tasty and a good variety. Our only complaint was the temperature of the hot food was cold most of the time.

The bread and omelets and eggs were fantastic.

The perfect way to end our vacation. Loved the ocean beach and the abundance of parrots flying around the resort. We even saw a family of monkeys around the property.

Crabs in my Deluxe Bay view room on ground floor. One crawled under my night suit waking me at 2 am. Understaffed. Only one shuttle to take around in rolling hilly ground. Not conducive for people with knee pain.

Plush Landscape, garden 5 star Food 3 star Rooms vary from 2 star to 4 star. "Deluxe" to describe room is a misnomer. Super Receptionists changed me to a better room 2nd floor due to crabs in my room.

The food in the snack bar area was terrible. The food was clearly just taken from breakfast and then put under lamps to be eaten off of all day. The food was not fresh and this is the only area to eat in between meals, so that was dissapointing.

The views and the staff were great! We loved the access to the beach. The breakfast was phenomenal. Larry made making transportation arrangements effortless. You can definitely have a great time and also relax.

Things we didn’t love that much: • check in staff upon arrival • plugged shower • the food at the Italian (inedible and cold-we walked out and didn’t eat) Buffet was hit and miss • one towel for pool

Paradise resort with great pools and remarkable service. I'd like to address some of the occasional negative reviews regarding the dining experience at this resort: This is a moderate priced resort in a high price country. The food is excellent and we loved it, but it is not the 5-Star gourmet dining you get in a 5-times-more-expensive french ski resort.

The food was unappetising (bland, overfried, overcooked) No entertainment, and the soundbar at the swim-up bar didn't work most of the time during our 10-nights stay.

The location is beautiful, restaurant & pool bar staff friendly, seafacing room 405 was nice. They also provided 2 local beers, 2 water and 2 soft drinks daily in the room bar fridge.

Bring mosquito spray. The a la carte oriental food wasn’t good but again we are vegetarians. Minor thing but the music in the restaurants was awful - total lift music. So simple but makes a difference to your experience.

Loved that it was adults only. Everyone staying at the hotel were really friendly, we spent hours in the swim up mini pool chatting. Private beach with kayaks (free), massages (on the beach are cheap and good!) and jet ski’s. Howler monkeys live on site eating the mangoes and the largest iguanas we saw on holiday too. The food buffet was good for vegetarians but lacking in protein but this was true for everywhere in Costa Rica we stayed. It is on a hillside so expect to walk a bit around the property as it’s a big place. Room was lovely.

Check in. It was super hot. We arrived a bit early about 2pm. The check in process was long for some reason but the rooms were not ready. We were directed to the buffet and to check back again at 3. We repeatedly had to keep checking. Even though we were told they would let us know. When we walked up to the counter they did not know us. Finally at 430 our room was ready. Even though we were unable to use the facilities or enjoy anything before 430 our check out the next day was set for 12pm. At 12 pm we would lose our "bracelet" and have no access for the Buffet/snackbar/bars. If we wanted to eat lunch we were told to do so before checkout - noon - and at the snack bar. (The lunch buffet not open before noon because that really is not lunch time.) I can understand not having guests stay until late in the day such as for dinner but to rush you out by noon when you could not even check in til 430 seems a little stingy. It definitely shortened our stay. We were just one night. All in all, the hotel is lovely. The grounds are beautiful. The rooms were adequate and comfortable. Mostly clean except a few dust bunnies around the TV area. If you are looking for peace and quiet, and mobility is not an issue, this a beautiful spot. PS watch out for the monkeys throwing fruit from the trees. Hilarious, but watch out! lol

The views were beautiful. Loved the monkeys. Saw two mamas with their babies on their backs. The food was outstanding. Was not a huge hotel so the buffet was not gigantic but the quality and flavours of the food were excellent. It was a good variety and we really enjoyed it. The dining room staff were very attentive and made sure you had everything you needed. Everyone was friendly. Cocktails were well made and pretty. Bar staff was super nice. Entertainment was minimal, small resort, not a lot of guest participation, but the staff were trying! They were interactive and fun in the evening. The water was gorgeous, and so refreshing especially since due to hot temperatures the pool water was warm. It can be rough water but mostly sheltered in the bay, if you keep a mind out for currents and depth you should be good. I was not worried. There are warnings posted. Particularly delightful to watch all the hermit crabs down by the water. This is a very hilly resort. Mobility is important, even though they offer transportation to and from rooms, there are some areas that require steep hill climbing and lots of steps to the beach. The rooms on the hills have breath taking views.

More should be left in the room refrigerator. There was no water left in room. The terrace door was opened by housekeeping and I did not check; I heard a noise and there was a racoon in the room. I screamed and my husband woke up. That was very bad.

Not enough towels left in room. There was no small wash rags to soap and wash your skin. Very bad!!

I didn’t like that there were no shower curtains or doors for the shower room. No face rags/wash cloths were in the bathroom. I had to request those. The shampoo/conditioner/liquid soap were not labeled.

The reception area was bright and inviting. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. They took care to listen and help me with the process of checking in and explaining how everything works.

I’m an understanding person especially when it comes to understaffing, however room service was extremely slow. Had to call the receptionist three times just to get more towels. I’d suggest new phones for the room. I also suggest new beds for building 200 bc our bed was extremely hard. The shower also could use some working. I also think you guys should update your buffet and bar.

I enjoyed the transportation from the lobby to our room. They not only drop you off to your room but they also carry the bags up the stairs for you as well.

the music played in the lobby area and the one lounge near the lobby. It was elevator music. My husband & I both wanted to hear Costa Rica music, would have made me feel more like I was away on vacation.
