Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaIt is expensive per night. But consider 3 absolutely delicious and healthy meals a day, and everything the place has to offer as an experience. Also if you read Lana’s book “Married to Paradise” you understand what went into the journey of making this magical place.
The property is unreal, like a dream of Swiss-family-Robinson style bungalows and platforms perched in the rainforest overlooking the most magical views of primary forest, uninhabited by humans or any development. I could write an entire article on the beauty of this place. Wildlife and humans feel they truly coexist here. Lana and her staff are the most genuine, authentic, loving people and by the time we left after 4 nights, we felt we were leaving a home and community that we had really shared true connection with. The way Lana has created this lodge is unlike any we have ever seen before.

United KingdomAmazing out of the way location immersed in forest and wildlife - well worth the journey & suspect the quieter side of Corcovado. Amazing staff and local guides, nothing too much trouble. Tents secure from wildlife and great to wake up with the sides raised feeling as if you’re in the middle of the jungle. Pool pleasantly cool and deck area very relaxing with lots to see. A real treat!

BelgiumWhen we booked, only the tent option was available, with separate beds. We would have preferred a bungalow with more comfort and space. One evening, there was an invasion of ants in the tent from the roof, and cockroaches in the shower. As a result, we found the value for money to be unfavourable
The location is fabulous, you're literally in the forest with a view of the sea. You can't help but admire the effort that must have gone into building in such a remote location, a 2-hour drive from the nearest town. The owner of the Lodge, who initiated this extraordinary project, comes to discuss the project every evening. Beautiful pool Excellent service Excellent restaurant, attentive to every need

United States of AmericaLuna Lodge is a beautiful place with an amazing staff. The lodge has a comfortable environment centered around a pool and restaurant/common area that sit comfortably in the forest. Toucans, Scarlet Macaws, and monkeys are frequent visitors and easily viewed. Great meals with vegetarian/ non-vegetarian options are included with many ingredients grown on site. We spent 5 days over the Christmas holidays and it was the highlight of our time in Costa Rica.

United KingdomNothing. To get the best views, you had to go up the steps. So although it was moderate work, it was well worth it. However the staff did take our bag up there for us, so that was a welcome relief.
If you're after peace and tranquility and an out of the way experience, then this is it. Views from the accommodation and main reception was amazing. Staff could not be faulted from helpfulness, food was tasty and very healthy. Just be prepared for a possible steep walk/climb up to your accommodation.

DenmarkFor the first day and a half we did not have hot water in our bungalow. The staff was working on it, but it took longer than expected. Unfortunately, regardless of providing dietary restrictions, on three occasions my wife was served food containing what she is allergic towards.
The location and the property was beautiful. The staff was very friendly, and went above and beyond to help – even when we had an issue with our car.

United KingdomThere is nothing to dislike at all!
To put it simply. This place, its staff, its location, its wildlife, the care for you were special very special. The time we had to talk with the owners mum and to listen to her amazing stories really made the whole experience, for that is what staying at luna is, an experience, just incredible. We were so glad we read the reviews first and made sure we had a full 8 days.

United States of AmericaThe road from Puerto Jimenez to Luna Lodge is quite the experience. There are only a few bridges over the rivers--the rest must be navigated in a 4 X 4 through the water. Road is VERY bumpy. At the lodge,as an older guest, It would have been helpful to have more railings where there were steps. Also, one chair inside the tent would be useful too.
This was an absolutely fabulous eco lodge. Everything that you asked for was provided. In addition, the owner is an expert on natural health and healing and shares her interest with any guest who is interested. For example, she opened her home for a "sound healing" performance while I was there. Massages were excellent too. Food was delicious--very fresh. Mainly vegetarian at lunch but dinners had meat or fish available. Full bar, lovely pool, nice places to lounge and relax.

South AfricaThe rooms got really warm at night, which made it difficult to fall asleep - did manage to get a portable fan from the staff though. Hard to be critical of this though, as it's almost to be expected when you're in the middle of the forest.
Every meal was just delicious, and the amount of food is enough for any appetite. Coffee/tea always readily available. Boots, walking sticks and umbrellas also available to everyone. Our party got upgraded from tents to bungalows, as we were the only people checked in for our 3 night stay - something we really appreciated (thank you Raquel!!!). The location is simply breathtaking, and the drive up to the lodge is something out of a movie. Just bear in mind you need a 4x4 vehicle with a high suspension to get there. The staff were all so friendly and accommodating- I cannot thank them enough for how they treated us and made the stay very, very pleasant. We did a hiking tour with Marue (I'm sorry for the spelling if incorrect), which was super special! All-in-all, Luna Lodge is a bucket list stay and a must if staying in this area!

Germanyonly a few tents have a good jungle view. yes, it is an Eco Lodge, but a small fan (for daytime use maybe) in the tents would be nice. If you climb the stairs to the very top tents, there is hardly a possibility to cool down. Prices for Massage etc to high, we think.
very good and friendly staff (Marlon, Raquel, all the waiters), adventurous way to ge there. def. worth a stay! good food.
