Great hotel with so many unexpected surprises… a thermal pool, hot spring a, a farm! So so so good and would love to go back!

The hot spring on the property is beautiful and warm, but they didn't have a really hot thermal like most of the surrounding properties with thermals do.

Good daily breakfast. I eat a big breakfast and they provided me with extra eggs upon request. The grounds are beautiful. Lots of birding and we even saw a sloth in one of the trees on the property. The onsite animal farm was cool too. The birds and pig just roam around the property which we enjoyed.

We felt they could improve on the quality of the dinner options at the on-site restaurant.

The bungalows were very spacious and well-decorated. We really enjoyed the on-site hot springs, and did not feel the need to go to one of the many other hot spring spas in La Fortuna. The breakfasts were great and some of the best of our trip. We also really liked the natural insect repellent lotion provided in the rooms.

Amazing property with gorgeous gardens and pools. Rooms spacious and well equipped. Bonus of baby sloth and mother in the hotel gardens. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

We absolutely loved everything about this hotel! The farm was incredible and everyone working was very friendly. The breakfast was delicious and the other meals were fairly priced. Watching the birds eat fresh fruit in the morning from the trees during breakfast was such a nice touch. This hotel was absolutely paradise.

The small farm on the property can get a little stinky if the wind is blowing the wrong direction. We didn’t travel all the way to Costa Rica to watch tv, but the Olympics started during our trip and it would have been nice to watch some of the main events. The tv system was terrible.

The grounds we beautiful. The hot springs were neat. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nice. We really enjoyed our time at Silencio del Campo.

There was nothing we didn't like!

The Hotel Silencio del Campo exceeded our expectations. We loved staying in our spacious cabin. The bed was super comfortable. The daily breakfast was delicious with fruit and eggs prepared from their own chickens on the property. We enjoyed relaxing in the thermal baths after a day of hiking and activities. We also loved visiting the farm animals on the property. All the animals are well taken care of and a great addition to the hotel. I left my phone charger and the hotel sent it to my next location in Costa Rica. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to La Fortuna!

I could smell when they sprayed the plants, didn’t love that.

We loved having the hot springs on the property, there was a great view of the volcano from our unit. There was lots of animals for the kids to see on the property

A few more options on the breakfast menu would be welcome.

Breakfast was wonderful each morning. The food was fresh and the setting very relaxing and engaging. Having some fruit set out in the yard for the native wildlife to come out and enjoy so we could see them was an excellent idea. Having the farm and vegetable garden co-located with the property gave some great opportunities for our kids to see a bit of farm life and interact with the animals (petting the mini horses as they grazed, milking the cow, etc.). The staff was great and took the time to show us and point out some of the native wildlife, including a baby sloth in the trees in the property!

We loved everything. Location, hot springs, food. They catered for our gluten and dairy free requirements so much so we had dinner there both nights. The garden is beautiful, private and quiet. The views are stunning, location is perfect.

If I had to mention any one thing, it would be I wish we had a cabin further back to avoid any of the road sounds, but they weren't even bad. On the plus side, we had a direct view of the Arenal Volcano right from our window.

The property was absolutely gorgeous, beautifully landscaped and full of life - butterflies, birds, flowers. My kids and I enjoyed all of the different pools, hot and cold; we loved getting into the hot springs during the evening rainstorms. The farm experiences were great - gathering eggs, milking the cow, horse ride, and exploring the garden, including a chat with the tender who had great knowledge on medicinal plants and organic farming. Both restaurants were good (free breakfast was great!) and the staff was extremely helpful and nice. Our cabin had everything we needed.

The staff was super nice and the facilities are in great condition. Amir and the other staff helped us book the ATV Tour and it was amazing. When it comes to the rooms, we booked the one with a private jacuzzi. It was cozy and comfortable and the fact that they have complementary bug repellent available in the rooms is something we really appreciated.

I didn't like that I had to leave!

Every aspect of staying at Silencio was perfect. The breakfast had delicious vegan options, the grounds were like something out of a fairy tale, the hot springs were tranquil and relaxing, the farm animals were hilarious and adorable, the staff (especially Alejandro!!!!) was fantastic, the location was central to hikes and the downtown, the room was very comfortable and the views from our little porch were incredible. I have zero complaints and would most definitely stay here when I come back!

It was sometimes hard to find a staff member to order at the pool. Some of the facilities are worn down and in need of renovation.

The little villas were charming and the farm was sweet for children. The spa is amazing!
