We enjoyed relaxing in the hammock after a long day of traveling.. The garden was beautiful and we loved all the birds we could hear and see.

There was nothing that I really didn't like. I like my privacy and they respected it entirely, yet were always there to answer any questions I had.

I stayed for one month in the cabana at the back of the property. It has a full kitchen, so I was able to cut my costs considerably. It's a short, inexpensive cab ride into town. I walked it a number of times, but it may not be for the feint of heart. However, it was a great way to get some excellent photographs. The property is extremely lush and loaded with beautiful flowers, and I saw many beautiful birds while sitting right in the house or on the porch. Hummingbirds are numerous and always in attendance. Yellow fly catchers and blue crowned motmots, to name a few. It's like sleeping in the jungle without the bugs as the house is fully screened. The owner and staff were exceptional and eager to please. Oh, and I forgot to mention the beautiful pool and the abutting building with a nice fireplace and a view overlooking the forest. If you're a nature lover, you'll love it here. The evenings cool off considerably, and with the help of a good ceiling fan, I slept like a baby. It's in a good location to strike out lots of other great spots.

Great location immersed in nature, only 1 hour drive from/to San Jose airport. The manager is so nice and welcoming and prepared us a delicious breakfast.

Our room had a problem with ants. There was a spray to deal with them, but they still kept coming. For a big family the kitchen in our room wasn't very well equipped.

The Eden Atenas Guesthouse had a beautiful garden and a wonderful swimming pool. The breakfast was very good and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Room may not have been used in a little while. It could have used a good dusting and wiping down. Not necessarily negative, but 3 minute drive out of town, so you need a car to get supplies or go to a restaurant.

Everything was great. The bed was not very comfortable. The mattress was hard and it made is get up earlier than we would have.

The property is beautiful with a nice outdoor balcony with a kitchen we used to prepare our dinner. The staff was very helpful.

everything was absolutely stunning. I was accommodated with the use of the outside kitchen at “The Ranch”. cool top and refrigerator and some utensils. Beautifully situated just outside of Atenas proper with lush gardens and a relaxing pool area. I had no problem walking to town. For the more hearty, walking back from Atenas is a good workout, while I took a 1700-2000 CCR cab ride back. plenty of shops to pick up snacks and food items. La Coope was most convenient and had ATM’s.

Everything, from the rooms to the breakfast to the pool, is beautiful. The gardens are absolutely gorgeous, the host is especially welcoming and kept us laughing, and there are plenty of places to lounge and relax. We spent the last week going on hikes and tours all over the place, and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to rest and simply enjoy the amazing countryside all around us.

The property has a truly fabulous garden and a lovely pool. Our room had a comfortable bed and a ceiling fan which was needed as there is no air conditioning, and the evening cooled down nicely so we were quite comfortable. Ernesto was welcoming and gave us good dinner recommendations. The locked gate made us feel secure and having a gate controller with the room key made it easy to come and go. The directions to the property made more sense once we found it and there is a lighted sign on the gate which confirmed we were in the right place. They do accept credit cards.

We liked everything.

Well, let me start from a very warm welcome that we received at the arrival. And then a very comfortable room with everything you may need including a fridge and big terrace with a hummack and an amazing view. Then it was a cute garden with lots of flowers and birds, especially hummingbirds. And the delicious breakfest made by Enid in the garden... it was all WOW!!! And last but not least was Max, a lovely dog that was my big friend :) Thank you Enid and Ernesto!!! The place is a real Eden or paradise and I would love to come back and stay with you again :)
