The location is great since it is very central near the metro station , the pier and all shops and restaurants. The manager was incredibly generous to upgrade my standard room for 3 nights till he needed it for others who had reserved it. Of course this was much appreciated. The breakfast is very good, with a lot of variety to choose from. Most small hotels do not offer cheese , but this one does. I left on a full stomach each morning.

The size of the standard room is incredibly small especially if you are 2 people with luggage. There is no room to move. In addition, the sound of the traffic till late hours could bother some, but we slept anyway. The towels and plumbing needs to be upgraded and improved , as well as the paint on the ceiling. It is a good location but needs some upkeep to make it a great choice for travellers.

We researched our own itinerary, the cave room was very sweet, small and cosy, just perfect for us - we had everything we needed: private bathroom, kettle, amazing view!, narrow but drivable 😂 cute road leading to the hotel, car park and really warm bed. Also: Impressive location; Ortahisar castle only few steps away; hosts really nice and helpful - thank you so much! 😊

Excellent location. Very close to Taksim Metro station. The personnel very friendly. We booked a superior room and they made un upgrade for us to deluxe room. A hotel with all the facilities. Very good and various breakfast. For us everything was perfect. For sure we’ll come again. Thanks for all Barcelo.

We had a wonderful time at Jiva. The staff, accommodation, food and entertainment was friendly and efficient . We have a tween and teenager and they loved it .

This is NOT A HOTEL. This is an old house,in a bad neighborhood and you will be staying in a room of the house. You will have the train passing right next to your bed window. You will have employees (family sons etc of the owner) having video-calls, and talking loud right outside your door,not beeing able to rest. everything in the room was dirty and disgusting. Had to book another place, so i could enjoy my staying in the city, leading to me losing 60 euros. Stay away.
