Small hotel on very good location, few minutes walk to city centre and 5 minutes by car to Efez ruins. We have very nice room with balcony ovelooking the garden, so there were no noises from the street. The staff was very friendly and helpful with advices. Brekfast was very good.

The location is good, 2 minutes from Sultanahmet mosque, Aya Sofiya (although the transportation for other parts of the city is NOT close).

I booked Hotel Antique in Istanbul for 4 nights but left after the second night due to an utterly disappointing experience, and just after I found another hotel with a free room. The reality of the hotel was a far cry from the falsely advertised images online (from multiple different hotels actually!). Firstly, the room's ceiling was a mere 1.90cm tall, making it impossible for anybody over the average height to stand straight. The shower's ceiling was even lower. The cleanliness of the room was disturbing: dead bugs were on the bed, dirt and dust covered the floor, and the windows appeared as though they hadn't seen a sponge since the Ottoman era. ☢️ When we specifically asked for the room to be cleaned, they just merely tidy up - not even vacuum. Moreover, the windows lacked any form of sound or temperature insulation, leading to a freezing and sleepless night due to noise and winds. Oh and the joy of not being able to open them, though one wouldn’t even dare to, given their repulsive state. 🤮 Complaints to the manager about the filthy AC filter were met with the “it’s like that in any hotel”. The balcony outside is a deathwish honestly, looks like it would collapse. Also filthy with cigarettes thrown there. Oh and yes - the hotel is missing the facade on one side of the building - looks like it fell off. ☠️ They wanted to refund only for one night even though we had 3 more that we paid for. In conclusion, steer clear of Hotel Antique and save yourself from a regrettable stay (highly recommend Hotel Misa in Laleli where we booked after).

Authentic Turkish rooms, lovely breakfast and a super lady who looked after us. So nice.

Bed hard. No top sheet on bed, so we just had blankets / single eiderdown available. Or is that usual in Turkey?

The breakfast was all right, the location is very central and easy.

The price was totally not justifying the hotels quality. While checking in we were told to get a better rrom and free breakfast if we put good ratings here. The price (50%-off price) was one of a hotel of good standard although this hotel is very basic. They make people pay a high price (easy with good ratings) through "buying" the good rating with free breakfast and the assuming (not verifiable) better standard of the room. Good buisiness strategy but a scam

The elevator doesn’t work properly, sometimes it gets stuck and the staff is so chill about it like it’s normal let’s not the mention nobody from staff noticed it got stuck and inside emergency call doesn’t even work.. as someone who has a fear from being closed in small space I was really uncomfortable afterwards staff tried to convince us nothing happened and to calm down
